Ball Lightning

I have known about it since a kid and always been interested in it, though was never sure it really existed. A few years back I've actually seen one with my own two eyes and now I know it does exist for real. Anybody else ever see it? I wish some day I knew how it actually worked. Lightning definitely seems to have something to do with it. When I saw it I also noticed a 60Hz (plus harmonics) type sound. While not all ball lightning happens on or near power lines, I feel it also has something to do with it.
The one I saw seemed to have been on or near the ground wire on top of a utility distribution line. It was very localized, so it didn't look like an arc. It appeared cyan in color and was extremely bright. It lasted only for a few seconds and happened twice in a row. I only saw it the second time as I had rushed to the window.

I am quite certain I saw ball lightning, but I didn't realise it until I mentioned it to someone else, after a few years I tried to read more about it and it still is open to hypothesis.

Thomas Pynchon thinks a ball lightning is spirited maybe even cognizant... but I never finished Mason & Dixon. I think it was Mason and Dixon but maybe it was Against the Day. Never finished that either

I recently saw on TV that in China scanned the ball Lightning. It turned out that ball lightning is made of atoms that were in the ground.

I wish we can make a gun that spits ball lightnings out. The weapon can electrocute and can also damage the enemy's electronics. It would be glorious.
