i'm gonna have a relaxing night to myself. preferably youtube clips of entire albums. it could be a compilation, no problem.

stuff i've been into lately: endless boogie, stereolab, of montreal, lots of calypso music from different artists, and some cumbia also from no particular artist.

but genre/style is unimportant really. i want music that's not too heavy on the strong emotional expressions, not pretentious, not really demanding much of the listener (save for an open mind of course, the prerequisite for all genuine appreciation). if it's mystical, hypnotic, cute, childish or seriously pissed off - that helps too. this description is a ramshackle upon closer inspection but it should give some idea.

any suggestions greatly appreciated!!!

Sometimes when on long walks you dont realize how much you needed a break until you sit down and suddenly sitting down never felt so good.

Now, in "Please Understand Me" there was outlined a path from which to understand the cognitive functions that I had not thought of prior to reading it. When I attempted to reconcile the way they understood it versus the way I understood it, I hit a stopping point. It was an immovable object, for about a day, maybe a week. I looked to Kiersey, and other extrapalators of 1920's consciousness. I figured that they were quite right, that I was wrong, and that their categorizations of me were not only accurate, but gave me new knowledge about myself I wasn't privy to prior! I thought for a second, like a half a second; shit, what else could I not know? What else could almost without opposition change my perspective on my self!? I came to the conclusion that these people were all much more intelligent than me, that I should spend my life devoting the time towards self-reflection towards understanding this that and the other person. Without them, I would be nothing, and when I lay on my death bed, I'll know, and it will feel so darn good, to look back at my life, and realize that I've sacrificed reflection on my own experience of life to a few other people who managed to come off as more intelligent than me, which if attempted is quite an easy feat. Thank The Unconscious, for them.
