Opinions on the mix?

Me and one friend of mine are trying to mix this one via facebook chat, etc. We need external opinions about how does it sound. Vocals? instruments? etc too loud? too echoied? Really good? Fucking piece of shit?

I think its a good song for the demographic that you are dealing with. Some suggestions I would offer is to make it seem a bit tighter. It seems to lack a bit of focus and emphasis on parts of the song that are meant to be the focus; its a bit uncentered. Its hard to find a good rhythm to keep me engaged through the whole song. It doesn't appear to have a typical song architecture ex. intro, verse 1, bridge, chorus, verse 2, bridge, chorus, outro, ect. ect.

That's good. I think because the song doesn't really have repeating rhythms musically (which can work with some songs I should add), having lyrics that act as an anchor to bring stricture to a flow of consciousness is a good idea. I don't think it is at all a bad song, but since I cannot understand Spanish, it is hard to get that sense of groundedness if you know what I mean.

[Edit] I don't mean to say there are no repeating patterns musically, because clearly there are. I just think it comes across as a very Ne song if you catch my drift.

I know what you mean. Having to always go by a script so to speak can get dull quick. The only thing I might want to add is that, yeah, its possible to create a really good song that is really spontaneous an a little chaotic, but it is really hard to make a song like that that appeals to the masses. It can be done however. I think The Mars Volta is a really good example of this especially.

I figured both those bands are not really what you want your music to sound like. I just used those as examples of music that appears more chaotic, but is still pretty popular. If anything I just wanted to create a point of reference because I really don't know anything about how to make YOUR music with YOUR style better besides maybe providing more structure like I mentioned in my first post.
