Okay, so after a lot of headache-inducing research and introspection, I am quite assured that my primary functions are Ti and Ne. However, I have yet to know which one of these functions is my dominant function. I have realized that self-discovery has been a beneficial method but it will not succeed in determining my personality type to perfection. Ergo, I want your help in discovering what I am, in Jungian terms. A description of my personality would be massive and digressive, and I'm probably the worst person to organize large verbiages. That's why, I want you to ask me questions.

Is there a god? Why? (I'm serious).

To be honest, I don't know whether there is a god or not. I've never cared. And anyway, I hate the idea of an omnipotent deity being responsible for our fate, our life. I think Neo from Matrix said is best when he first met Morpheus, I don't remember the exact quote but it when something like "I don't want my life to be in someone else's control". The concept of religion repels me.

So I suppose I'm an agnostic atheist.

I could fully not understand what was written, because I'm still a great novice when it comes to cognitive functions, let alone how they function together. I prefer observational descriptions that take behavior and thinking process into account.

I'm currently in high school.

Reading, playing football, watching telly (particularly football and movies), exploring (I explore my high school whenever I'm bored there), anything to do with the Internet and introspecting.

Rock, metal, some hip-hop. I like the complexity in the music, and I also appreciate the underlying elements of a song such as its tempo, beats, and cadence. I don't understand why people bother to memorize lyrics.

Oh, hell yes. On other forums, I have yet to find a post of mine that has not been edited.

As for your previous question, I think I'm an ambivert. I'm quiet, reclusive and socially awkward, but I like being around people and going to social gatherings or cinema with my friends. I like solitude only when I have the Internet, a television or a collection of novels in my vicinity. In fact, almost everything that entertains me seems to be present in my ivory tower.

Here's an observation concerning my position in the introvert-extrovert graph. When I'm alone in my home, I like to switch on the television and put a random sitcom channel or play a favorite Youtube video just to feel as if I'm not alone. Background noises. I get uncomfortable in a completely silent environment where I'm all alone. I need background noise. At the same time, being alone is highly desirable. But maybe, that's because I reside with my parents and I need my private moments.

EDIT : I just edited my post for the eighth time.

condemned to transitory perdition

Anything concerning the almighty Internet, reading, listening to music, watching flicks.
The first two hint at Ti not being dominant. A ti-dom would have investigated further. The next two scream suppressed Ne (due to social expectations and setting, not to you). The last one speaks to Ne's hoovering up of information regardless of source.

A bit stereotypical, but: INTP? ROFLMAO :p

Yet you listen to hip hop, and I'll bet you have them mostly memorized even through passive listening.

Maverick hermit? ENTPs are actually social introverts for the most part, because we're so focused on all the information that they're taking in and are distracted if they have to focus their attention elsewhere.

(I have a feeling TimeAsylums will agree. I know he's watching... :cat:)

EDIT: "EDIT : I just edited my post for the seventh time."

^MOAR Ne!!! "Shit! I should add that too!" :D

There's a massive difference between social introversion and cognitive introversion. Let me know if you need more of an explanation than "social extroversion occurs because Ti is too busy analyzing what Ne takes in to give a shit about other people."

Haha, it's actually eight now. Incidentally, I'm a massive Grammar Nazi. I have almost jeopardized many companionships because of my reputation as one. For some reason, I find it impossible to let errors and mistakes go unnoticed and unannounced.

How is playing football an INTP thing, by the way? :D

Atrocities, eh? Have you seen this thread?

(Being an ENTP doesn't mean you can't stay here, btw. We've got a small but... vocal population here :D).

Did it feel good having The Doc work the dilemma through with you? How do you feel now that this is settled?

Any thoughts on what to explore next?
