Any of you are at times get "attacked" by ideas that just can't be explained with words ? and obviously the more you try to fight them off, the stronger they get ?
I have had such "ideas" or rather complexes of ideas pissing me off for pretty much all my life, i have identifyed 3 different ones, all are extremely uncomfortable to bear, and quite terrifying to be honest...

They seem to come from the deepest of my unconscious, have a life of their own and "last" for as long as 20-30 minutes at times, i just can't explained them with words besides they aren't pleasant at all !! They come at total random times, maybe once a month or maybe less/more. My intuition always told them there is something "numinous" about them... Maybe something to do with my very birth or maybe "before" it...

Anyone else ? What could they be ?

Well, you've identified them. What are they? Thoughts of varying unpleasantness are more common than many would think.

I once questioned my humanity after first reading plato's concept of the tripartition of the soul. I understood that I had spirit and rationality, but I really seemed at the time to lack appetite, I still do. For a while the concept made me very depressed. But now I realize my ambitions are just different to most, thus the illusion that I did not want anything.

For my part, there is nothing more splendid, or terrifying, than an idea. Nothing can have so much power over me.

Anything involving the meaninglessness of life, usually initiated with discussions about the greater universe.

I did not discover the universe beyond words until I was in my thirties. I had a 'word machine" constantly spouting words, that I could not consciously shut down, i. e. "I am not going to think a word for the next 10 seconds..."

However, Once I did escape from the trap of symbolism masquerading as substance, life got interesting and I began to experience that which 'normal' people do, life without a constant narrative.

If these experiences are recurring, that is the same experience, more than one time it is likely that a 'sub'conscious is trying to send a message. I found that with recurring dreams, once I solved the 'puzzle' embedded within each, I never had that dream again.

Novel experiences are often frightening, but just because something is different does not necessarily mean that it represents a threat. Next time look for a puzzle, with the goal of recalling it, in order to re-enact it in some manner, not describe it in words.

Instead, perhaps a dance, or a drawing will provide the clue to unravel the mystery.
