The title is vague, not sure if intentional, are you seeking only in discussion of the article or all things alike?
Not just restricted to the article, it could also be extended to things like suicide by cop, euthanasia, various topics (evolution vs creation for example) and strategies in education, etc.

Some things are moral as in I think something but know its wrong so I stop myself. Other things are ethical, society places the limits on behavior. I have had thought I would be ashamed to admit to for moral reasons well others would do so for ethical reasons. If people want to do taboo activity's as long as it not harming anyone I wont stop them because consent is given. Although ignorance can cause people to change their minds if new information is available. These constraints on behavior must be in place because most are ethical and would violate others consent. This is why religion is seen as bad by most atheist who are incapable of distinguishing the true motive of others by adoption of Truth and Morality as relative. But as with anyone who can tell the difference they will base their conclusions on the rights of human dignity.

Fantasy and reality are such different worlds. I doubt many people would be prepared for the impact. One can maintain control during fantasy. It is harder to control reality. I wouldn't be prepared to take the risk that things could go horribly wrong.

Edit: forgot to vote -- and I voted no.

They would have to find someone else than me.

Concerning things like euthanasia -- well, that is extremely difficult. It would depend on so many factors; I cannot vote yes or no as it is too complex, so a maybe for that one. Although, if a close family member or partner had been in great and prolonged pain and had begged me to finish it off....I don't know. I cannot predict my own reaction to this extreme scenario. As I said, imagination or fantasy is one thing -- reality is....real.

Euthanasia: I've dealt with enough suicidal people to know that euthanasia is entirely different, a suicidal person is more often than not in a temporary state of insanity, someone who wants to be euthanized however is in intolerable pain all the time so I can't imagine anything more cruel than not helping them.

Rape fantasy: If I was asked to be rougher or more dominant in bed I'd be okay with it, bondage and tease play too, after a point pain and pleasure become somewhat interchangeable, but why someone would want anything done to them without their consent I don't understand that at all.
Surely bondage, roleplay and being rough would be enough?

No. At least most of the time. As Polaris said, there is a distinction to be made between fantasy and reality. I think most people "fantasize" about things but don't actually want them to happen in actuality.

For example, I have wondered about what I would do, what I would think and feel, if someone broke into my house and pointed a gun at me. I have also wondered about many things that I'm 100% certain I would either not do, or want done to me. It doesn't really mean anything in the end.

When someone says, "I was wondering what it would be like to be euthanized" or "I'm dying of a terminal illness and I want to be put out of my misery. Please help." Is there a distinction to be made there? Of course. Thoughts, or feelings can be drastically different from actual wants or needs.

In short, it's not about illegal vs legal as I couldn't care less about such an appeal to authority, but rather consent vs non-consent. In this case, simply having a fantasy of something "taboo" isn't necessarily consent.
