I got sacked by my ESFP boss.
He ran his own business, he hired me on as a writer (a job he used to do), and then was upset when I didn't approach the job and writing in the same style he did. (What did he expect? I was an INTP. Even when I tried, I couldn't do it in his style to his satisfaction.)
He gave me a pep talk at one point that was sort of vague and ambiguous, then two months later faxed me a firing notice (I was working at home) the day after Xmas, so as to not "ruin my holiday." .. of course, he didn't really consider my chronic-needs child needing health insurance... and I had less than a week to get some, during a week when barely anyone was at their job.
I never want to work for another ESFP boss ever again.
IOW, as far as the "Why" goes:
I was a bad fit for the position as he had envisioned it.
