Which types do you think strike you personally in some way, with profound aspects of any kind? (Thinking more influence than anything else)

Mine are probably ENTx's and xSTP's

ENTP; I don't think I've ever known one personally. But I can't help but be thrilled with such characters when I find them in fiction. (I'm thinking of an exemplar omnipotent entity from a certain continuum...)

Maybe also an INTJ, which is another character outlook I enjoy when I encounter it in fiction. I had one INTJ friend when I was younger, and our conversations were always this dynamic of her bringing up topics (usually) and us having challenging discussion-debates on them which could go on for hours. I admired her for her vast knowledge of topics which I never delved into, and I sometimes didn't know what she talked to me for  I might have been the only person who could handle it, and I guess we both found it fun.

INFPs, ENFPs, female ISFPs (Male ISFPs get on my nerves, female ISFPs are super awesome), INTJs.

ENTPs tend to annoy me. All ENTPs I've met are very arrogant and stubborn and somehow manage to be better than me at everything that is considered important(Social life, good grades...). Yes, I am very jealous of the type. :o And because of that, I don't really have great bonds with them.

But who knows, maybe I'll meet a nice ENTP some day. I'm sure they aren't all like that.

I usually tend to find ENTPs the most influential (with INTPs and INTJs coming in second). The reason is probably that ENTPs are an external projection of everything INTP's often want to be: outgoing, verbally eloquent, charismatic, highly inventive, socially enjoyed and almost naturally popular. Many people I have often admired are ENTPs (such as Bertrand Russell, George Carlin, Nikola Tesla, Thomas Edison, and Socrates -- a great xNTP). I've even enjoyed many fictional ENTPs (such as Jack Sparrow, Mark Twain -- as he was depicted during the Star Trek Enterprise series -- and perhaps Dr. House).

ENTP; I don't think I've ever known one personally. But I can't help but be thrilled with such characters when I find them in fiction. (I'm thinking of an exemplar omnipotent entity from a certain continuum...)

I personally think "Q" can be quite annoying at times, as he always seems to be harassing the Enterprise crew by abusing his omnipotence (which actually got him in trouble a few times throughout the series). But despite that, I do find his mocking of others/insults to be downright hilarious (just like Dr. House). At one point, in fact, he tells Worf to "go eat a book." It's also slightly comical how Q tends to playfully piss off Picard often with seemingly childish antics, like a real-life troll on the loose. But I wouldn't call Q influential, personally. I just tend to relate to some of his behavior, while also disliking some of it. Perhaps the most relatable aspect of Q, for me, is that he seems to have a superiority complex (so that he talks down to others constantly). That's always entertaining. But personally, when it comes to the Enterprise, I prefer Data, Barclay, and Picard (two INTPs and an xNTJ).

Maybe also an INTJ, which is another character outlook I enjoy when I encounter it in fiction. I had one INTJ friend when I was younger, and our conversations were always this dynamic of her bringing up topics (usually) and us having challenging discussion-debates on them which could go on for hours. Agreed. Besides INTPs and ENTPs, I tend to really find INTJs fascinating (from a sort of perplexed, ignorant point of view, as I do not entirely understand how they operate). Although, INTJ/INTP relationships can lead to disaster, if both have extremely large egos. I used to know a guy who was slightly INTJ (but strongly balanced with INTP), with an extremely large ego; half the time we just argued about who was right and who was wrong, rather than actually discussing anything. But again, that depends on the size of the egos involved. My wife is an INTJ (balanced with INFJ), which of course leads to a very small ego, so that we can usually discuss things for hours. She'll usually take an empirical approach, while I'll often take a theoretical approach.

At any rate, when it comes to INTJ style thinking, I would say Captain Picard embodies it quite well, and he's extremely fascinating. Perhaps another is Sherlock Holme's arch nemesis Professor Moriarty (who seems to be an INTJ as he was depicted in many Enterprise episodes).

Yep, I could've come up with a ton of better ENTP examples if I'd been thinking about it when I posted, whom I've also been inspired by, but Q will always be one of my favorites. I admit to some god envy.

I guess other INTPs also strike me personally, but I wouldn't call it inspiring. I simply tend to understand them well when I encounter them as fictional characters. (Alright, Data is inspiring.)

Aside from online, where I run into INTPs sometimes (hello forum), I've know that I've known all of one INTP personally, my father, with whom I've had many an interesting, extensive discussion of ideas. Also taught me about practically everything I was curious about growing up, mainly how various aspects of the world work. (I got lucky, having a fellow INTP for a father.) I might've known others, but it's hard to say.

I hadn't thought of that. Picard as an example of INTJ thinking makes sense, I think. As for Moriarty, I wonder whether he is an INTJ in Doyle's work. I have an itch to reread the Holmes anthology, type analyzing of characters an added bonus, since last time I read the Holmes anthology I was around 5. Maybe a bit young.

Also, hail fellow Trekkie, I think.

In that case, I don't envy gods, I envy you! haha

You should!

Yeah, I'm pretty much a Trekkie; I absolutely love the show.

ENTPs were mentioned here.
I am ENTP, I am not socially influential unless I have a plan. I only lead when driven by a passion (for some thing i invented), they say ENTPs are good leaders of pilot projects and this is true.
However, if I have nowhere to lead to, then I become an introverted loser/observer. I'll let somebody else lead instead and i appear like i go with the flow (although my mind is completely somewhere else than the flow).
I need periods to recharge, contemplate "alone in a cave" and then come out of the cave with a plan and lead with passion. I cannot lead constantly

I think ENTJs are more influential because they ALWAYS lead, even if its going nowhere ;)

They can just take the lead for the heck of it, just as a value game, regardless of the subject involved.

ENTPs are influential in showing their ideas of NTP value, and how to get them out there.
ENTJs can showcase examples of playing "leader" and how/where it can go, with their ideas

among other things about each

I don't think I find other types influential but if I did, they'd probably be IN** or EN** types.
Especially introverted people who manage careers like stand up comedy.

I'd say ENTP, but I'd much rather be one myself, than be influenced by another.

ENTJ. They impose freaking logic into this world and it works. They seem unstoppable.
It’s a type that I admire and they can make me do stuff. Of course they can be real asses but who cares?

Also, I’ve met few mature NF who have healing power. After sometime with them, I felt like I had grown.

Seconded. I've never had the drive to lead or be noticed. Let me rephrase that, as an INTJ I'm driven to be lead during those fun little apocalyptic scenarios that call for a computer to take over and complete the mission.

When you think about it though, each type has the capacity to be extremely influential by either acting alone or binding together. Sure, SJ's are not exactly the types you would go to for wild artistic ideas or creative solutions, but, at least in our society (USA) they are the ones who largely decide who goes to office on election day.

Even the brightest of NT's goes nowhere without garnering the admiration and approval of the most "common" types. Call it God's checks and balances.

I am striked by INTP's themselves. That explains why I am striked by myself, at times. with INTP's I tend to find a mutual thought of process or calm energy. That lessens the chances of my energy draining out, in socializing.

INTJ's, they are an interesting bunch. I enjoy how I share similarities with them, yet there are differences in which we could get to know eachother better.

ENTP'S, most of the one's I have seen or met. Have been laid-back and witty. Along with their spontanousness, it really gets things going in the environment.

ENTJ's, My most favorite ones. Assumably I must've met a whole bunch of ENTJ's in my life, without realising it. But so far, the one's I have known they have been relaxed and outspoken. I enjoy their way's of thinking.

Yes. It is pretty much all the 'NT' personalities.

Other INFJs + xNFPs I think. As far as I can tell I have a few close friends who are ENTPs as well.
