The world is full of idiots that desperately need someone to tell them, in detail, why they're an idiot.

For example there seems to be a distressing number of people (young people especially) who believe you can't be racist to white people either because they straight up don't know what racism is, or they think racism was somehow invented by or an inherent part of white culture, or they understand that it is racism but it's okay because whites are the super-majority or over-represented somehow.

White people did not invent racism nor is it inherent or unique to white culture, Asian isn't a monolithic racial identity, they all have racial stereotypes of each other and there is A LOT of inter-Asian racism and if you haven't heard about that it's not because it doesn't exist, it's because you're an ignorant American. Surely you've at least heard about the persecution of the Uyghurs by the Han Chinese? Yeah tell me that's not racism or that it's somehow a consequence of white culture. Likewise Africans are not one people, they look different, they sound different, they have different languages and cultures, and some of them are racist towards others, only an ignorant American would think that all Africans are black therefore they're the same people.

Likewise whites are not the super-majority, they may be in certain countries, just as blacks and Asians and whatever are the majority in certain parts of the world, but on the whole predominantly white countries tend to be more racially mixed than any other kind. Go to Tokyo, go to Shanghai, go to Harare or Dubai or New Delhi and see how many racially diverse people there are and bear in mind these are capital cities, places frequented by international travelers, yet you won't see many white people, maybe dozen if you travel around doing touristy stuff all day. This concept of the whites and white culture being omnipresent and oppressive is something that only makes sense to people who haven't actually traveled much, small-town small-minded people who think that what they experience is all that exists.

Unfortunately the internet has become a very restrictive place, I know I'm shouting into the void here, maybe a few people will read this but it won't amount to much and I can't voice my thoughts anywhere else because a rant like this anywhere else would almost instantly get me banned and my post deleted.

This concept of the whites and white culture being omnipresent and oppressive is something that only makes sense to people who haven't actually traveled much, small-town small-minded people who think that what they experience is all that exists.

As my hypothesis suggests, the ones who are most "white" live only in small rural areas, so "the whitest" people in America are the most isolated from racism because they have the least diversity of experience. Only when you get to the urban areas do you encounter people who are different but also you encounter people who are at the top of society. That is to say, the divide whatever that cause is of people leaving the countryside for the city and then they find that diversity exists.

It is these liberal people in the cities that are "white" who find that they need to conform to the norms of "whiteness" as oppression, not the rural areas. because I think it is a way of signaling they are "with the program". It is popular to say it so it sells and then the people outside the rural areas just go with it.

But the way things are no one has not heard of it (whiteness as oppression) even in small towns because of the internet. no one can say that they are ignorant now and that means they just have to keep their heads down. Why leave your town? The city sucks. No one is bothering you in the country except on the news and the internet. That means you get by, by not interacting with those sorts of media.

As long as people keep in the countryside and vote they will survive.

Let the large cities kill themselves. No one cares. that is my position.

The TV and the internet keeps telling lots of people that they're the opposite of an idiot, as long as they vote for the right people, and support the right causes and values. That's bound to attract a lot of people who feel insecure about their intelligence.

Feels like everyone is terrorizing everyone else. I get miffed when the series I watch Outlander spends twice the amount of time OVER emphasizing they should care about a black man who is dying over fifty other whites also dying. When its obviously OVER done, thats when it miffs me. My Moms side was a bit rascist, (Western NYers) so I grew up hearing a lot of swear words towards different races, but I took college classes that taught me to unlearn that. So, deep down, its there, but I am afraid to say or think it. I think we need to unlearn some of that predjudice because if there IS judgement when you die, its going to be about how much you helped others or made them feel loved. And all people are seen as equal in that light. So, now, for me, my goal is to try to equalize things, NOT over equalize them. One race doesn't deserve more special treatment and that seems to be what is being asked of us. Just make it more fair is all. But that is mostly because of how some races act, they do have hate for whites and so, I'm not giving appreciation out to people that aren't reciprocally real. I developed some friendships with black women in the South, and they still text me after retirement occasionally, because they genuinely care. When people genuinely care, it doesn't matter what race they are. I just don't believe it most of the time because it takes education to remove predjudices, and see it as an individual evolution, just spread more of what you want to see more of in the world.

Now, as a quiet shy type, I don't have the verbal prowess to fight or compete against female black tigress types, its like a cougar against a turtle. I lose even if I'm ten times smarter, I tried to fight it when I was young and it didn't work. But the Queen bees of any race are scarey, like the Pele God. Who am I to judge ANYONE. And who are THEY to judge me? Thats the way I think we should be, you really have no power to judge, or if you do, its not real or genuine power, and YOU will be judged and purged of that idea. This is why I'm almost purely in the non-judge mode by choice. Except most people are intolerable anyway, so I chose to be alone, and yes I have experienced reverse discrimination. And then, they wronged me, and created a karmic issue, but I try to overlook it because I don't want that to be the reason I have to reincarnate to work out something someone ELSE did, therefore, do not judge again, its not my circus, and this is how I stay karma free.

The word nigger is a word, just a word, and when you repeat a word over and over it loses it's meaning. You say the word nigger and many people will have a visceral reaction because that word has been given an enormous amount of power, it's been declared taboo and the less it's used, the more it's feared, the more powerful it becomes.

See it's losing it's power already and some people find that incredibly offensive, not the word, not even my use of it, no what really upsets them is that I'm disrespecting the word, I'm de-powering it, robbing it of its taboo sanctity.

Those people are racists.

They might say they want equality if you back them into a corner but actions speak louder than words and if you observe their actions you'll see what they really want is to fan the flames of controversy, to stir up conflict and create division. They're not racists in the sense that they're of one race and hate/fear another, it's not a performative evil, they're not misguided people with otherwise good intentions, they are true racists, devotees of racism itself, racism for racism's sake.

As an atheist I don't believe in evil and yet their behaviour is so self destructive it's hard to rationally explain, why are they like this, what do they gain? I think a better descriptor than evil would be nihilistic, these nihilists, these anarchists of the mind are driven by the call of the void, they seek nothing, they want nothing, it's purely destruction for its own sake or rather a cry for help, for relevance.

Like someone with no creative talent destroying other people's sandcastles to feel a power they so sorely lack.

But, yes, I can see and feel the destruction. The power some people try to intimidate others with is from lack, yes.

Instead of I'm right, we need to teach everyone to say ALL right and even though its probably not, the manners might be the way to bridge it because if you say something, it will come back to haunt.

It's a culture of entitlement, she's saying and doing these things without a hint of trepidation because she genuinely believes she's entitled to do whatever she wants with the power she's been given. She believes this because until recently that has been the reality, with the streaming wars and COVID there's been a wealth of venture capital for anyone with the right ESG credentials.

But now? In this interview she has clearly outlined why she's unsuitable for her role, how she lets personal biases interfere with her work, biases she considers more important than the success of the project. She's on the fast track to losing her job and if there's any sanity in Hollywood she won't be finding work anywhere else.

Indeed after the debacles of the last few years I wouldn't be surprised if there's a reluctantance to hire women for any managerial role, thus the patriarchy has become a self fulfilling prophecy. Not because there's a male conspiracy to exclude women but because some women have proven themselves so unreliable and untrustworthy that all women will be under suspicion until they demonstrate a basic level of competence.

The world is complex and societies are complex.
We meet strangers everyday, and our attitudes to them reflect culture, but also rules that are written and unwritten (ergo subtext)

The question is can you really be racist to someone before you even get to know them?

Ergo I can wake up one day and decide that I hate Pokemon.

But if I know fuck all about Pokemon is my hate truly the hate that comes from the right hate or is it just Darth lameus hate.

Because my theory is that to truly hate someone you need to know them well to know what you hate about them.

How can you hate that which you do not know.

How can I hate all those Pokemon with true fashion without knowing them.

I mean if you really want to experience truest of hate first you got to love em and then hate them.

Only ex husband or ex wife know what real hate is.

That is why racist people are just being shallow.

And shallowness in today's world is part of societal conditioning.
