Hmm I haven't gotten the chance to drink most of the beers that are listed, but I'd probably go for some malty
lager of some type, given that it's pretty much what a stereotypical beer is. American "lower tier" beers were a letdown though, I was actually pretty surprised when I drank Budweiser and Miller Lites.
I don't get all the rage about IPAs either, (yes I'm talking about you, Michigan), but then again the ones over in Asia aren't that great either, so meh. Korean beers are cheap as hell (Cass, Hite) while Japanese beers are too dry for my taste (Kirin, Asahi). Chinese beers on the other hand are surprisingly decent (e.g. Tsingtao). Most beers are fine if you chill them enough and if you something to eat at the same time, though.
On getting drunk, beer just for drinking is a bit off I think, or drinking it just for the
sake of getting drunk. I think it's sort of a waste. If I wanted to unhinge I think liquors would be the thing to go for. Gins were my favorite, especially Seagrams. I don't mind cognacs either, but- but then cognacs are hella expensive. Soju and sake are okay, but man, those are just common peasantry social poisons
Drinking gamers usually go for vodka/whiskey/rum, that's always fun. If your friend is a wine person wine stuff is fun too. Wine's only interesting when you drink with someone else though, I think, with the cheese tasting and all o:
