Blue Brain Project: building a brain. This is a must see video for anyone interested in the brain and artificial intelligence - especially the last half or so of it.

Optogenetics: mind control? Maybe. The ability to selectively control the different neuron types to fire using light will allow us to understand the brain.

Soon, we'll be able to consciously control our brain (you want to stop feeling pain? Just think it away).

Connectome: Mapping the brain. This looks like an insane task, but very interesting. This will give you a real appreciation for the complexity of the brain.

Also, check out some of these websites:
VisiGene: you can look at a lot of high quality pictures of the brain (here is a video describing it).
Allen Brain Atlas: contains a gene map of the brain.

Admirable Complexities

is a paradox for the non-INTP.

I'm not sure if you're a man or not, but I think I love you.

Thank you for providing these articles. I'll be starting college next year to major in computer science (computer programming [artificial intelligence] and computer engineering), so naturally, I found all of these interesting to the utmost extent.
