Hi. One of my best friends is an ENFP, and I am an INTP. I'm fascinated by how well we get along despite our somewhat contrasting personality types. I've googled the comparison but have only been met with stupid videos of couples talking about why they love each other. I want facts. If someone could provide them, I would greatly appreciate it.

is this other person of your preferred mating gender or is this a friendship only question?

Friendship. I'm interested in a comparison strictly from an MBTI viewpoint

well, you've got the Ne in common.

That's it, I guess.

I guess how it works is you make the jokes and the ENFP makes the laughter?

Sacred glowing jellyfish, you're right!

I always thought we clicked because we have all the rationality they love in their INTJs without the controlling and judgmental bits, and I like that they are usually very clever and capable of putting on a solid debate. But they do crack up over every little joke/snarky remark.

Maybe we are just funny little novelties to them. :phear:

im always right...except sometimes...jk actually always right
Let me guess. You're not always right: Once, you thought you had made a mistake, but as it turned out, you were wrong. You hadn't.

i dunno i never seem to click with enfps. it isn't mbti but from a socionics pov we're meant to not understand each other well

I think this is pretty accurate.

As much as I have liked my ENFPs, and I understood their nature in general, I really can't imagine what drives them to do what they do. If I were to have to actually depend on one (like in a business or domestic partnership), I'm pretty sure it would be unpleasant.

i guess enfp and intp are in some ways similar to how i relate to this message board. Enfp may appreciate the stimulating/stupid (elementary) questions that Ti comes up with, new food for Ne explorations (since Te can get very stuck with it's answers, if not provoked by environment) and perhaps the INTP enjoy coming close to a psychologically oriented spirit through the ENFP. and the ENFP might be more tolerant of your Ti brand of introversion than INFP, because they are not so conscious of the Ti/Fi conflict, since they are not so conscious of Fi.
