I know there are alot such similar topics, sry yet for another one, but I'm still not sure about INTP or ISTP or Type change even after I've read many of the old post...
So here I am, registered just to ask this question.

Should I type myself as INTP or ISTP?

I'm an INTP since born and untill 16~18, where at that period of time I'm under a very huge amount of stress. I seek security and comforts in my own mind that at one point, I even reject the real world as unnecessary, as all it give is frustration despair and pain. But when that situation slowly change, I starts to get more and more like ISTP everyday that now, that I am 24, I having difficulty relating my current self to INTP. Though my N is very developed, the S is also rapidly developing now. I uses N like second nature but I can also see many traits of S on me since my childhood.

My old friends, that do not interact much with me now, would type me as INTP while my friends that have just know me for this few years, would type me as ISTP. (p.s. They type by reading the descriptions, not by understanding what N or S mean)
Well, if just by looking the Intuition/Sensing, I'm definitely is more Intuition incline, but the description of ISTP's behavior actually sounds more like me than INTP do for now.

So what the hell am I? It seems like a mix of 60% ISTP and 40% INTP for now while in the past it feels like a mix of 20% ISTP and 80% INTP.
Any help?? Or maybe I should stop trying to fit myself into the 16 types and just accept myself for who I am... lol

Dominant: Introverted Thinking (Ti)

Auxiliary: Extraverted Sensing (Se)

Tertiary: Introverted Intuition (Ni)

Inferior: Extraverted Feeling (Fe)

vs

Dominant: Introverted Thinking (Ti)

Auxiliary: Extraverted Intuition (Ne)

Tertiary: Introverted Sensing (Si)

Inferior: Extraverted Feeling (Fe)

The difference between the two is not as close as you think.

In these two types, TI is developed first up to age 20 give or take a few years.

I suggest reading the able link and be honest about your experiences.

Besides, I think this makes a strong case for INTJ, given the lack of information. Let's see what Typealyzer has to say about the OP of this thread ... INTP.

Cooper, I am only 3 people. I see we are frustrating you. Maybe put some of your posts into Typealyzer, and you will see what a real computer thinks.

Are you completely oblivious to the fact that you keep making a fool out of yourself?

I dont really think I have psychic powers I was being sarcastic, it was really only meant for grove to pick up on, he likes to dismiss anyone who thinks they are an INTP. A forum on the internets is the one place I can say dumb things and it honestly doesnt make an impact on my actual life whatsoever.

As much as I'd love to talk about this some more, I don't think we should; it's probably not doing your mental health any good.

You are probably right.
