INTP from the North of England

Hello!

I'm a 21 bi-gendered individual. I reside within the sunny borders of England . I've been on a self-exploration mission over the year. To learn more about myself because I have no Idea where to go with my life. I'm currently a Software Engineer Apprentice and have fell out with Programming. Generally, I've fell out of IT. I'm wanting to go to University and take a degree. In what, is also a big question for me, Mechatronics seems interesting but I also still have a love for the 'Social sciences.' Why does this world no longer want Polymaths.

The tests told me I'm an INTP but as a secondary I could be also an INTJ.

I am interested in; philosophy, history, art, Politics, Computers, and electronics.

I'll give a +1 for sociocultural anthropology, what I got a degree in. Then taught myself 3d computer graphics.

Why does this world no longer want Polymaths.

Hiring managers mostly want replaceable cogs. Not holistic integrated persons who can be a threat to the strategic leadership of an organization. In short, if you really are a polymath, I think your best long term option is self-employment / running your own business.
