So yeah.

Going to get straight to the point.

Can we really trust our instincts?

Let it guide us through life?

Seems to me, you'd most likely end up getting raped in an alleyway and losing your identity, literally and 'document-ally'... Well, depending on your unique instincts.

Bla. Just been seeing a fair amount of related photos/videos of journeying, exploring, instinctual guidance, and the lot. Do instinct junkies need to get a reality check?

Could you expand on what exactly you mean by instinct? By the sounds of it I'd recommend the book "thinking, fast and slow", sounds like what youa re talking about

Well, where your spontaneous thought mixed with passion and curiosity guide you, I guess. Not allowing fear (specifically of the future), preconceptions, conventions, society/culture etc. to get in your way.

Seems that can get you into a whole lot of shit.

What's the book about?

It's about two different modes of thinking, one "instinctual, intuitive (not in the mbti sense)" and one "slower, more analytical, precise"

Ok. Do you think embracing the instinctual & intuitive side and disregarding the slower and more analytical mode of thinking is counter-productive?

No, both have their time and place. One only really learns by experience regardless
