I absolutely suck at using my S side, but would love to know how.. I've always been envious of them [yes thats right], they get to live in a normal world! >>

I believe things like taking care of your body apply to sensors.. Which would make sense cause I neglect my skin. It just seems terribly confusing.. The routine, the balancing things.. Maybe that's a J thing? Either way I'm bad at it..
Not exactly sure what "building your S side" might include, but if you have any ideas or thoughts, I'd like to know.

Are you good at being a sensor? :P

Hmmm....in what way do you mean you suck at using your S side?

Taking care of skin seems simple enough.

Sensing... I'm not an expert but that seems to be an over-simplification. Am I mistaken in thinking that INTPs generally have a note-worthy Si function. I know very little about functions that are not particular to INTPs for now. I'll have to watch this thread.

This is something I'm looking into too. Not that actively, but I'm let's say 'open' to it.

The fifth post here had some pretty concrete excercise suggestions.

My current application is beer tasting. It's got many excellent qualities into it. 1.you get to drink beer. 2.It's probably cheaper than any other tasting. (and as such, besides being affordable, for me it takes most of the elitist ring out of 'tasting'.) 3.Theoretically it could develop the S functions. 4. Beer.

Turns out I really suck at tasting, and categorizing taste sensations, but hey, if my S won't develop, I'll still be drinking beer. Actually I think I might have improved some, and I really like some stuff better than the other. So it might be doing something for the J too?

^that is really interesting.. I must read this thread.

I don't really know how to better explain what I mean.. And I know skin care is a really bad example >>" I just suck at relating to sensors, mainly because I don't know how to sense..

Was just wondering if anyone knew how to sense, if that makes any sense.. Sense..

Se:
Intentionally wander around dangerous environments, lots of people you can't trust is a plus(animals could work too, like hunting). Be in the here-and-now of physical action.

Take up boxing or street fighting

Practice extreme driving where the likelihood of accidents seem too close for comfort

Grow used to acting on impulses, demands, and desires immediately, while suppressing over-speculation or other forms of thinking

Start wanting and start going after what you want

Master your reactions to provocation and aggravation, notice it in others, do it to others.

Present yourself for the world to see, make yourself physically attractive(or bring it out).

Create and/or don your own symbols and insignias.

Si:
Think of any person, place or any other thing and try to recreate it through visual art. Discover how different your experience of the thing is from others, and which features stand out to you. You can do this with music also. You don't have to be a skilled musician/artist.

Rearrange your environment and optimize it to be free from disturbance, with all personal suitabilities, until the environment elicits personal tranquility.

Pay attention to your senses more, practice concentrating on your reality and discover what the stimuli are telling you and your body.

Develop physically. Work on your body, work on your garden, work on a computer, work on a car...pursue and progress.

Persevere in your environment: learn some survival/defense skills, exercise(like cardio/running), etc

Learn to be comfortable with people in your personal space, with you in theirs. Be able to affect the vibes.

I misread the thread title and thought this thread was going to be about building better sensors. Like, for detecting and quantifying pressure, temperature, etc. I was like "Cool!, I want to learn more about that!". But then, it was a thread about something paying attention to your surroundings or something. I am disappoint.
