I've taken quite a few personality tests and always score INTP - "Architect". I've always loved architecture. My hobby is creating 3D models and drawings of buildings and cities. But, I also assume most INTP people are good at mathematics. I have a fear of math..numbers and formulas. I don't even want to attempt learning it. I think a fear of failure is the cause, because I will give up before really trying to learn. Does anyone have advice?

Maybe ask yourself, continually, what's the worst that could happen. Even though that's hackneyed as heck, asking that question can infuse some perspective into a silly fear. When I was younger I sort of detested public speaking but now I love it, probably because it's an overt chance to pedantically show what I've learned, control my environment, and force folks to listen to my drivel. Okay, perhaps I'm just replacing fears with megalomaniacal problems and new insecurities. Oy vey. Thanks a lot. Oh, welcome and all that happy horse shit.

Hello. I like architecture too. For me its the organization, the efficiency, but I'm not limited just to function, the design matters too. It's fascinating this new obsession i have with design. There's a psychology to it.

I wouldn't focus too much on the details. We are called architects, but we are people too. Labels can be misleading even as they can be helpful. You are you first and foremost, and we are we .... second and secondmost? I'm not too familiar with the etiquette. Knowing these things has helped me understand myself as a person, but I could hardly say it defines me. It merely supplements my understanding of the many things that comprise me.

As for your inquiry. I agree with snafupants. The fear is often times irrational (until the calculators start an uprising) and often times perspective makes all the difference. But you have to get to the root of what is bothering you and then determine how true that is.

Tiny window you're looking thru (but not wrong I admit). There's lot more to be learned. Dig: not only archi and math. Loooots more. And controlling is absolute anti INTP's behaviour to me: I WANT YOU TO THINK LIKE ME (ahah). Watching, alone, think and smile in a corner is more INTP...be creative...hawkward. No shower till you... ok I stop.

Geometry is most likely one of the least i understand. I understand that the idea of geometry is probably derived from our 3d environment, what I don't understand is why we have to exist in this 3 dimensional spatial environment. wtf is "Space" even... argh. is it a reducible? or is it one of those properties of the universes that can't be further abstracted....argh.
