Hi there. I'm a random guy from Sweden who recently found Briggs/Myers tests while I was googling psychology information. I think the forms has enjoyable content and generally "happy" atmosphere, while the subtle humour can have quite an edge when the members launch sneak attacks at each other, but that's just fun as it's done with love am I right?

I decided to take the test on my mypersonality.info and I was typed as an INTP. I found this forum about one week after and I have been reading it for 5 weeks now. I wasn't sure that I was correctly typed at first so I decided to take alot of diffrent tests on diffrent websites that I can't remember anymore. I always ended up as an INTP or an ENTP, mostly INTP though. My preference for Introversion and percieving are quite weak, so I'm a bit perplexed about how I should treat this.

I've seen alot of people replacing one letter with an X to indicate neutrality. So I suppose I should be typed XNTX in that regard... but that just seems strange. I'll post a picture here so you can see for yourselves:

I would not worry too much about fitting into a category nice and neatly. Whatever your personality is it is yours and it is unique. However for those of us with relatively rare personality "quirks" this is a nice place to meet and have conversation or just share something. Welcome and I hope you enjoy your stay "Random Guy from Sweden"

An antagonist eh? Good man. I used to think of myself as an introverted instigator, but I'm settling down.. I think. Welcome to the forum.

P.S: I'm always kind of taken back by the lurking that goes on here, you really read the forum for over a month before deciding to join?

I kind of joined the first time I stumbled upon this place and started posting immediately.. I still haven't properly introduced myself though.. so maybe I'm the strange one here.

*peers at username* Hmmmm....Indeed.

*looks at graph*

Yes! Another verbal kinesthete! (So, I made that word up. What of it!?!?) I wonder...do you write music or lyrics? I just know you do one of the two!

*vibrates with curiosity*

Edit: *scuffs feet* Oops. I forgot to welcome you to the forum...Welcome!

Sweden huh, That's cool, I pretty new here to so welcome.

By the way trying to put people into a category and expecting them to stay that clean cut all the time is like trying to square a circle, you'll go mad trying.

Welcome, Swede-man. Here's a good joke about Swedes:

Q: Why couldn't Jesus have been born in Sweden?
A: It's impossible to find 3 wise men there.

Ahahaha. It's funneh.

@ Gepcy Loc:

Well that is simple statistics. MBTI has 16 types. There are billions of humans (I stopped caring for the actual number a long time ago). One can't expect everyone of those to fit cleanly into one of the 16 archetypes. My question was how I should interpret me bordering between introversion and extroversion. There is a rather big diffrence between an ENTP and an INTP.

Perhaps what I really need to do to find out is to take the full test. But I'm too lazy for that, and I don't want to pay for it.

@ Cavalier:

When I actually do something it's the music that I'm focused at. When i try to write lyrics I often find them to be very lacking in both message and depth, I don't think they ever become "good enough". I usually keep most of my creations to myself. It feels like people can see into my mind when they listen to my music, and I don't enjoy that idea, as I find my own material to be rather primitive. I play drums so lyrics is not my strong point especially not in english. I'm more of a rythm guy.

(Just read that quote, seems like I mistyped "forums". I'll have to edit that.)

EDIT: Apparently I can't edit that particular post. Seems like I have to proof read my posts better in the future.

@ Flow: I usually don't register at all, I only read. I was suprised to see people other than myself who writes with detailed language, so I felt that I had to register.

@ Minuend:

Q: How do you sink a Norwegian submarine?
A: Knock on the hatch.

I doubt full test would help much, although a talk with MBTI specialist might. There are two main differences between INTP and ENTP: function order and sociability. That's the source of outward differences. Theoretically the former is most important, but even Myers-Briggs admitted only 60% of people have a dominant they should based on dichotomies - which means she considered the latter deciding. I can't find the source of this information though :/.
