First a pipe, now a cane...what's wrong with me?

So now every time I go out for my daily walk I bring this cane I bought with me. It was only a couple of dollars, but you'd never guess it. It's really not useful at all; it's actually too short for me to walk with comfortably. I just like holding a cane...it makes me feel like a gentleman, or a sophisticated bohemian, or a flaneur, or something.

So if anyone remembers my "anyone really tempted to take up pipe-smoking" post...well, do I have issues or something? Do I have some kind of Ne image projection obsession? Is my Si trying to draw me back to "happier times" (when, presumably, everyone carried a cane with them everywhere they went)? Am I just pretentious?

I cant wait till it gets cooler so I can wear my wollen coat and artist hat!

I, myself, was attached to this umbrella. The cause is located within the subconscious conditioned reaction known as "habit". Turning and turning, poking and poking, opening and closing. It turned into a mental projection of a variety of mental condition.

But yeah, yours is probably because of something called "Roleplay mania".

Maybe subconsciously you feel the need to carry a cane, so you can fight off stupid people, both physically, and with the unapproachable sophisticated persona you give off.

Regardless i wouldnt worry, you feeling the need to carry a cane and pipe is a lot more acceptable than some peoples need to express themselves. If i had a dollar for every idiot i have seen wearing huge flashy multi-color clothes for attention, or people wearing absolutely nothing but black, even painting thier fingernails black and adding other shit to their outfit just so they can add more black... with all those dollars i might have saved up enough by now to get a decent rifle to start taking them out as i see them.

Me on the other hand, i dont care about my appearance at all, i often go weeks without shaving, only cut my hair when it gets in the way, and pretty much grab whatever clothes i see when i open my dresser. The only consistant thing is the ring given to me by my girlfriend, which i wear on my left ring finger despite people constantly questioning me about whether i am getting married. ( maybe this is my subtle attempt at a self image?)

Oh, yes it's very silly. Hopefully people will just assume I have back pain and not clue into the fact I have psychological issues, ha ha ha.

Yep, I have a cane for a good reason. The good thing about having one is people don't expect you to do any physical work and are so grateful when you do something.
