Well, another situation, where I need answer...

What function/what functions combination/what whatev' in MBTI represents art? I have heard, that it is often supposed to be Se, but I am not professional.

That's impossible to define. Any type can make art. A portrait artist would more likely be S, whereas a surrealist painter would more likely be N, etc.

hmmm... art is really any form of creative output that typically utilizes any combination of sensory information (S), patterns/associations (N), thinking (T), and feeling (F). I don't see how you can place 'art' in a Jungian function. Functions have to do with what our minds tendencies are toward how we collect information and make decisions, and whether the source is the inner world or outer world. Art can use any of the eight functions. Detail-oriented or earthly art may be associated with Se. Abstract or complex/geometric art, Ne. Hell, I don't know.

All right, so for example, this site describes ISFP as Artist, see here: http://www.mypersonality.info/personality-types/isfp/

Well, I am not so interested in the description of the ISFP, since I don't know any (or better said: haven't anaylzed anybody like that since I know about MBTI)

Yeah, the ISFP is categorized as the artist, but I think that's wrong, really. Any type can be an artist... Or am I missing something?

Well, maybe then the Art is the gift, the talent... I am not so good artist... maybe only with music, but I am not writings songs or operas... I am just interpreting, what have I heard already... I was able as 10 yrs. old to play on piano main themes (only one hand) from Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Star Wars and many more (assuming that I haven't got any connection to internet at those times)... but music is probably only part... then there are lame drawings...

Here, they're mainly looking closely at a specific idea of "art." The more "physical" idea of it: painting, sculpting, crafting etc. Also some emotion to go along with those direct sensations.

So it is not probably the art, right? I have just noticed, that I have met with many ESTP's and only art they were interested in was drawing... or physical activities, but I count those as the sport.

btw, just a side comment: you are strange.

Yep, that is true... but why now? :D
