Well I'd already come across the 8 functions thing on this site:

http://www.cognitiveprocesses.com/estp.html

I would like to know more about the meaning of the different "roles" however.

why wouldnt you?

Well for one thing I think they contradict each other (for want of a better word). Eg, I don't think you can have Te and Ti going on at the same time. You have your T, and at any given moment it's either introverted, extroverted or somewhere in between.

Also, it is hard (maybe even impossible?) for S and N to co-exist at the same time, likewise with T and F.

I like this (Beebe). I find the shadow functions fascinating because I had a protracted amount of time where I was 'not myself'. Not only does this explain them well, it is a good way of examining whether your type is actually accurate. For example, would I consider Ni to be my witch, etc.

Interesting how beebe shows us how to use our funcions in a work setting. Finding a career that suits our first and second functions then in our 30's developing our 3rd function. Then in our middle age develop the rest. Beebe said by doing this we would have relative success in our career. What do u guys think?

Sorry if my grammar seems kind of fucked up. I'm on a phone.

First thing I thought of was Socionics + archetypes. : /

What I'd really like to see is more of how the different functions fit into the archetypal roles. Like Ne as a "Good Parent"? I really don't get how that works. Any explanations would be much appreciated.
