Well, I guess this one's getting a thread but hopefully it won't be alone here for long.

Another curious feature of the male northern short-tailed shrew's penis is that it can only be retracted into its storage sheath with the aid of the mouth. This seems a somewhat cumbersome arrangement, especially since a pair may mate as often as 20 times a day.

The first curious feature was that, whereas most shrews mate in less than twenty seconds, the male short-tail's penis is quite long and gets stuck in the female's S-curving vagina for upwards of half an hour. Keep in mind that these things starve to death if they go more than a couple hours without eating, so mating is really rather inconvenient and that may be the point. A manshrew's gotta be pretty damn fit before he goes sexin'.

The tiny male anglerfish are born without any digestive system, so once they hatch, they have to find a female quickly. When a male finds a female, he quickly bites her body and releases an enzyme that digests his skin and her body to fuse the two in an eternal embrace. The male then wastes away, becoming nothing but a lump on the female anglerfish’s body!
When the female is ready to spawn, her "male appendage" is there, ready to release sperms to fertilize her egg.

Because bats roost in tight packs and use the same small sites year after year, they are perfect hosts for a variety of parasites that flourish on social mammals. Bats rarely groom each other... Six entire insect families are found only on bats, and another, the bedbug family, has developed extensively on bats. Indeed, the bedbug that plagues humans probably first evolved on cave-roosting bats, gravitated to cave-dwelling humans and eventually moved with humans into their hovels.

And it seems that rabbits, especially hungry Arctic hares in winter, sometimes eat meat.

This is because a male cat's penis has a band of about 120–150 backwards-pointing spines, which are about one millimeter long;[147] upon withdrawal of the penis, the spines rake the walls of the female's vagina, which is a trigger for ovulation. This act also occurs to clear the vagina of other sperm in the context of a 2nd (or more) mating, thus giving the latter males a larger chance of conception.
