I've beaten the game several times. I've come up with several algorithms to solve it, the most prominent being to choose a direction and then to only use the other three to solve. Now if you want a real challenge I recommend googling the game 9007199254740992. In stead of 2^11 this is 2^53. I tried the random move solve feature on this game yesterday at 1 move per millisecond, but it couldn't come close. It only got to around 2^21.

My highest number was 1024, needed only next 512 square to win. This game should be limited by time, would be more intersing

If you try choosing one direction and only using the others to solve it, then the side that is opposite of the direction you choose gets weighted with the heavier numbers, which helps eliminate the smaller numbers being closer the larger ones increasing the chance of combination of the higher numbers. Having a time limit would be both interesting, especially for the leader board aspect, however I would spend so much time failing and getting frustrated. haha
