Some INTPs think than socionics LII (INTJ) are MBTI INTP. It's not true, I was thinking about it for a long time and also read a lot (there are some descriptions in polish and russian, which aren't translated to english [or at least I didn't find them]).

So we have intuitive type and logical. You should notice that logical type is better adapted to live in the World and cope in life better than intuitive type, achive greater things and perhaps is happier.

I have high self-esteem but low self-confidence. And now we come to conclusion - many INTPs (especially young) need self-confidence. What provides it?

-Te

Everyone have all functions.

Whatever you are doing at any time, you are physically modifying your brain to be become better at it.

Just practise Te, and you become very powerful INTP.

I'm still intuitive subtype, but Te is something that I was looking for, this is it, what is attractive for me in INTJ and ENTJ. That's why I wanted to be INTJ for a long time.

My functions now:
Ti > Ne > Ni > Te > Si > Fe > Se > Fi

My goal for next few months:
Ti > Ne > Te > Ni > Si > Se > Fi > Fe

I have some concerns I was wondering if you could address please.

Concern #1
Socionics is being mixed with MBTI with such readiness, seemingly without an attempt to acount for major differences which even developers of Socionics have acknowledged ( [1] [2]).
Concern #2
It is being assumed that functions, and therefore type, are something we can actively control in terms of output and one's proficiency with a function; Jung himself indicated that types were static, and some MBTI researches & writers do believe in type development over time, but intentional control of a function is contested.

Concern #3
There are vague references as to what exactly each function entails, and how the function can be exercised.

OK. But this is what are saying humanities. You must look wider and think like everything is possible.
From neurosciences' look every action modify our brain. EVERY. You are constantly changing and adapting to become better in your activities. Jung made his theory, but he didn't know everything, so we don't need to listen to him more. If you use Te, it develops.

You don't know what is Te? It's easy, just look at INTJs, ENTJs, ESTJs and ISTJs and take what is in common.

In a very general, Te is making judging decisions based on logic.
From my personal findings Te gives the best self-confidence. It's important for INTPs, whose Ti makes them uncertain, undecided and provides a lot of worries.

To be more extroverted or more fully engaged in life, more self actualized, you have to change the content of your functions. Carl Jung calls functions "attitudes", that is revealing. You have voices in your head, which represent attitudes. (Not necessarily vocal voices). Your introverted voices or concepts or agendas need to get along or be compatible with the extroverted ones, so that the extroverted ones can be invited into life, through the doorway of more dominant introverted functions. One of the first examples in typical development is the discovery and peace making between tertiary and inferior functions. If the tertiary is introverted, the effect of integration is not necessarily having the effect of making the individual more introverted. To the contrary. A conflict between auxiliary and tertiary would mean that more emphasis on the tertiary is reducing the power of the auxiliary, but if the conflict can be sorted out through understanding, both add richness and self actualization to the life, auxiliary extroversion can become more meaningful and effective and convincing or appealing to other people, through the support of tertiary introversion.

It's not really like you can develop a function on purpose, following some definition. It will reinvent and improve and apply itself, if it is allowed to.

Those are just my introspective hunches.

This is like saying if I practice dancing I will no longer be clumsy. Please explain in detail how you can become an INTJ and perform on the same level as a "natural" INTJ.

BTW, confidence comes from knowing what you are good at and owning it. You are wasting your time on bringing up a weakness with a low ceiling.

You have some accurate words but only to an extent, the rest is just hand-waving away real issues.

The truth is that there are effective discrepancies between MBTI and Socionics, and there is no evidence to support the idea that psychological type can change, or that a function can take over the previously dominant function.

If you use Te, it develops.

You don't know what is Te? It's easy, just look at INTJs, ENTJs, ESTJs and ISTJs and take what is in common.

How can we look at Te types if we don't know what Te is?

Sure I have an idea, but to prescribe that INTPs "do Te" to better themselves is reminiscent of a preacher or marketer, especially when you haven't gone into depth about what Te actually is, what methods there are to improve, and how that connects to self-confidence.

One of the most beautiful songs.
Change is coming through my shadow
And our shadow is Te, Ni, Se, Fi.

@EyeSeeCold
Everything what you are saying is true, but I still will try to go deeper and find my answers, even if anyone will help me.

INTP have highest self esteem( arrogance or narcissism) + lowest self-confidence combo.... Isnt that amazing?
Why? Because Our extraverted functions are crooked up... Te and Fe helps for self confidence. We don't have the first, and we lack the second. Ne is considered crazy, thus not socially acceptable. The only way still is to develop Te or Fe.

The best way I found to increase my self confidence:
- I found a job which is universally recognized as superior( IM a DACTA ya know); we don't care if it's really superior or not, what matters when it comes to self confidence is what the other perceiv, not what really is... ANd that notion might sometime clash with our need for logical consistency.
- Be great at agreat variety of things( Ne).
- Find likeminded people who support you
- Get some great clothes and great style... It feels good when ladies validate you with their envious eyez; seriously !

To be franc, high self-confidence doesn't help for growth... So don't bother too much with self-confidence, be just confident in appearance( because that's where self- confidence apply) but keep doubting coz doubt will keep you growing.

I thought INTp in socionics is equivalent to an INTJ in MBTI.
And INTj in socionics is INTP in MBTI. INTP's should be falling in the LII category

How to be confident: care for others, be more extraverted, simply Fe.
Self respect comes automatically.
