Oh puh-leaze, I remember one of the times I was going on and on about abstract algebra you popped in and said you refused to read it because I obviously didn't know what I was talking about (without having even looked at it or knowing anything about abstract algebra) or it wasn't important anyways or something like that. Reminds me of how all my musician friends get all insecure when something comes up that's outside their range of expertise, so they can't have the dominant position in the conversation while that's still being discussed, then they move onto ridiculing anyone they see as some kind of threat to their ego. Needless to say I guess the Green-Tao theorem has been forgotten by all now as well.

And Words just joined and never said more than two words, so I assumed he wasn't interested at all. It's not really my job to force people to talk or make sure they're impressed by our dazzling intellects even if they don't.

In any case, the system is quite organic. Anyone can start a new room and add or remove anyone they want from it at any time, and as we used to have side-chats set aside for more serious discussion (Math & Physics chat ftw), anyone is free to start that again at any time. Or, you know, actually bring up a topic they're interested in.

If on the other hand you just think we suck or don't like the people involved, that's fine, standard human community stuff, but don't try and play the intellectual elitism card.

Back to the original thread topic: 12 PLAYER EPIC CIV 5 GAME!!! With Lord_Methous we should have 7 or 8 now with actual copies of the game. If we can get a few more and people are motivated to set some times for extended play, we could do a full-sized 12 player w/ 12 AIs game on the largest map.

I realize planning and schedules isn't really the kind of thing people here excel at, but fellow Civ 5 fans have to know it'd be worth it...
