I started reading it, but I couldn't get into it. The whole setting seems so very chaotic to me and I only managed to care about a handful of the characters.

I only read through the first quarter of the book though, so perhaps I missed out on the good parts?

Well I'm crazy about robots and I've been to Thailand so I guess I found the story easier to relate to, I particularly liked the ending, I guess if you we're looking for a love story or some action packed cyberpunk thriller this ain't it, rather it's what I'd call "Darwinist Noir", nobody really gets a happy ending but life continues on, so there's still a glimmer of hope.
