Ever since my parents gifted me with a early pack of sim games which had Sim-ant/isle/city/tower/safari and Tropico I've been hooked. The ability to create, test...stress test and then destroy. Or create and build up to greatness has always captured my attention. There is no one telling me that I can't do this or I should do that. (Though I'm sure my cities would prefer I not release giant monsters on them..but I like seeing how fast they can rebuild.) I can be the leader, creator, observer, god, and devil as my whims decree.

And I've always wondered. What if I'm really creating real little universes? What if it's more than a game to my little sim people?

So, do you like sim games?

I remember enjoying Civilization, although I haven't played for some time.

I also liked Black & White, but I was rather sadistic, for deity. I just liked tossing my followers into the braziers and beating my tiger avatar until it just began to eat people for snacks.

Black and white was always hard for me in the later levels....all I wanted was to create a utopia and everyone else kept attacking me. Plus my lion was kind of a bitch cause I forgot to teach him any fighting skills. He was really good for labor though.

I used to enjoy Maxis/EA Sims games a lot. I no longer do because the lack of innovation and recyclation of concepts has made them a boring experience.
