The forum has become boring of late. This may just be my opinion, but I figure it is sound. Where has all the interesting discussions gone? Or are they there, with me just not seeing their perks? Or am I boring?

Perhaps we need a shake-up. A revolution. This the is my challenge: Each who reads this, must create a new, interesting thread.
If you do not, there will be no consequences.
Except a guilty conscience. Perhaps. Hopefully.
I doubt it.

Now you know why I did that existential boredom thread.
Since you have read this yourself while writing, make the interesting thread yourself.

I have a better idea. Instead of doing something, why don't we just do nothing. We are lazy after all.

Indeed, the forum is subject to fluctuations, this is merely an experiment to see if one can manipulate the cycle.

Drama usually gets the ball rolling because it turns members on here meta.

One may create a new and interesting thread, but only if one gets permission. If one asks and doesn't hear back, you may not create any new and interesting threads. One question may be asked is does a new and interesting thread occur by accident or does it have to be motivated? That is, suppose one feels pressure to create a new and interesting thread. Is that different from creating a new and interesting thread where one doesn't care whether it is new and interesting or not?

How new and interesting! :phear:

Well, that bit is definitely true.

....

And now for bad joke Friday:

"I never meta thread I didn't like." ba-DUM-bum.

As I explained once in the chatbox this forum has cancer.

Well, didn't really explain it, just sort of blurted it out like I am now.

As I explained once in the chatbox this forum has cancer.

Is that the kind of cancer that earns you lots of public sympathy and yet is easily curable (which ends up being a positive sum game), or the type that puts you in the cold cold ground before FaceBook even realizes you're dead and creates a video montage of your life?

It's the kind that drags on and reappears in different parts of the body but you endure it for so long that everybody loses all sympathy for you.

old news, old people, old stories, old cliques ..... Ne is an extraverted function after all.

So the cancer flares up and there is a battle and it subsides or is excised or what have you; it isn't cured it's just abated.

Always returns just with a different mask.

Not exempt from attacking the brain either (catch my drift...)

Some of us do try. Just that most people don't give a shit to make critical decisions about what actually matters.

I have this idea for a thread where either people request a picture of an object/scene and someone tries to capture it, one at a time.

OR

A list of photo achievements is made and we have a contest to see who can get the most.

Not sure if it would go over well though.
