Bronto got warned for bad behavior lol. I sincerely hope everyone involved in the discussion got warned then. But afaik seeing as I haven't been warned that does not seem to be the case.

Not denying bronto didn't fling shit ofc. But in the context of this it seems rather strange to hand out a warning to 1 party:

Or is it fair to just say that all four of you are guilty to stooping to insults, seem incapable of deescalating an argument, and are too proud to just let it go? I really don't care that much if it's confined to one thread, but spinning this into something bigger and getting dramatic about it is never going to going anywhere constructive.

So what should I do? Close that thread? Close this thread? Temp ban all of you until you cool off? Genuinely curious.

I think all 4 are guilty. The thread seems civil enough atm. The last replies have all been pretty to the point and haven't really contained any unnecessary insults.
This thread should be locked though imo :P

i think a forum like this can afford to reprimand lousy toxic debate behaviors (i'm being hypothetical now) instead of mentioning of genitalia. i mean what's the point? getting warned for demanding a proper honest debate is even more bizarre.

moderators don't need to read everything. but if they don't know what's really _going on_ they shouldn't appease a report just because the targeted post has the word "dick" or isn't teletubby nice.

if anyone deserves a warning it's cog for making this thread and contaminating the forum with our quarrel. no one deserves a ban but redbaron touches on it imo. that quotemining is extreme. it's a cardiac hazard.

actually i just wanna make sure no one reads our discussion and gets persuaded by those antics of theirs. i get pissed off because i assume those guys enjoy tacit acclaim. probably it's just the way they write though.

anyway i'm done with this topic for now. clearly i'm taking all the piss for being up front. not worth it. thx obama.

If the forum rules listed the detail examples of violating actions, such as insult for instance. Otherwise moderators should look for the thread content to see what was going on.

I can see both of them use bad words to each other, so if mods ban one, they should ban the other too. Or else it just another thread that people can't argue in peace and lead to insulted each other. Let they deal with it themselves.

I really don't see where the big deal is other than the fact that people are taking debates too personally. Cog and RB used jargon as epithets and then Bronto and CC started to denigrate their opponents' naïveté. I don't see the need to go cry to Uncle Sam and request air support.
