Canada, eh?
Or, more specifically, memory palaces. An endlessly intriguing topic.

Have any of you ever dabbled?

This skill has INTP written all over it: something most would view as pointlessly theoretical and abstract, extremely logical, practically demands the re-construction of pre-existing systems, there are always ways to make everything more efficient, you can store massive amounts of information, woo people with your talents when you're floundering with conversation and productively spend hours in your mind as you already do.

Don't you see the possibilities?

I dunno. I seem to be able to remember any general information if the memory is triggered (if only the memory for remember an umbrella would trigger more often!) And I suppose that I have some creative little tricks to trigger future-me's memories when necessary (because after a week of post-it notes, they fade from my field of vision). But I've never gotten into mnemonics or complex systems for storing potentially useful data. It sounds like a lot of work for something I may never use.

My INTJ, on the other hand, is all about that stuff. He has like 50 different 20+character server logins and passwords floating around in his head and while he could never recite or write them down, he can still type them in at 150 wpm (even after a 1-2 years not accessing one). And he explains this ability like it's nothing, "You just remember sets of 4 characters at a time and it becomes as easy as remembering phone number you haven't dialed in years", which is followed by the always-fun "if you can remember your password, it's not a good password, and if you write it down, it's not secure" lecture. (Which is a pile of flamingo turds, if you ask me)

Anyway, what I'm getting at is, I'm sure INTPs may have a decent potential in this arena, but I wonder whether xNTJs may be even better at it with the whole being-organized thing they have going on.

Edit: I think we'd be awesome and setting up the systems for memory-palaces though.. it's just the discipline to use them that we (most certainly I) may lack.

Haha. I don't disagree. xNTJs would definitely have all the discipline and organization skills needed. That won't discourage me yet, though. :D
