The biggest difference is in perception mapping.

Introverted Intuition and Introverted Sensing are mixed.
Extraverted Intuition and Extraverted Sensing are mixed.

Thinking and Feeling mix also but differently.

INFP and ISFP is clear.
INFJ and ISFJ is clear.

INTP and ENTJ exist.
ENTP and ESFP exist.

Composite types exist.

Never liked the dude, I've heard they fell on hard times and that they went through some transformative process. This is one of those ideas that I thought was worth looking at. Though it is limited, the crowd very much took a liking to this model and it took on a life of its own.

In a sense it justified already confirmed research, but it never considered that personality can be highly flexible well into ones life. In anime, transformative processes are rapid and it is something people have to accept. It never could in this form.

It is an exercise in looking into ourselves and finding what we can hold onto I guess. That may just be my personal experience talking, that would be really reductive if we were to look at the model in it's most tenable form.
