Any of us in Law Enforcement? I don't know how well an INTP would do as a patrol officer (due to our indecisiveness), but I think that we would make excellent detectives. I often think I would make an excellent Deputy U.S. Marshall, due to the fact that given the resources, I could find everything I'd want to know about someone. This may be somewhat stalker-ish, but if I meet someone new that I don't know, especially if they'll be making contact with my family members, I want to know as much about them as quickly as possible. Anyone else like this, or is it just me?

I do have a criminal justice background of sorts, but I would have trouble closing my case and reporting my findings as a detective. Besides, how in the hell am I supposed to find all the little shit on the ground left by the perp with teritiary internal sensing ;) ...

of sorts? I'm sure you'd be better than you think. We're open to more possibilities than sensors, so while it make take us longer to find our evidence, we'd have more. More evidence = stronger case. :)

I have found meaningful details -- details that can be used to create context -- no problem. Never get tired of them. It's like drawing a picture or something. And we are apparently wired to both perceive context and to do it without conscious thought sometimes. When I'm in full writing mode, I can research details for days, just packing them in the brain, and I'll wake up one morning with a Good Idea that people will Like to Read related to all those details.

It is the meaningless details -- the annual audit of paper clip use -- that makes me tired. I mean really really really tired, but you know what I mean already....
