Extraversion is about doing/absorbing the outside.
Introversion is about settling into the self what's inside.

This is how it works for me.
I settle into my unconscious. and think by active experimentation.
I glow with feeling and I experience allot with sensation.

but because of depression I actively reject sensation, it feels bad.
experimentation is weak because of my goals being too specific and I am Isolated.

When taking Prozac sensation is stronger. the unconscious (Ni) is less cloudy. I don't have fuzzy fevers anymore.

emotion is more integrated. energy to do things is there. don't feel as sick. Can sit still and not feel horrible.

For INTP
Ti is a highly ordered thought process. Ne looks for potential in all things. Si very instinctual gut feelings. Fe lax in seeking out preferred things.

E an I go hand in hand. My problem in Te because I want to do things but have low energy and negative emotion. I think it is different for each type but some people are just doers and others settle. doers get real depressed if they can't do things. doers persist the most, if they are stuck they break free. It's why the economy works. Doers just do and this means they don't stop. Reflection is introverted and to do so you must pause. But if you pause you can get stuck more.

This is very interesting, but where did you get dopamin and serotonin. I thought they are both important equally for all minds.

I just learned about them. Extraversion seems conducive to doing. Serotonin to settling.

Introverts think and then act. Extroverts act and then think.

I had a thought awhile back that it might be best characterized by an observer as

recursion (introversion) -> reflects on the instability of things in order to bring back some kind of consistency and stability. This can involve many things from morality to logic to perceptions to anything that tries to understand and reason. The means justify the ends kind of thinking.

excursion (extroversion) -> change and instability, making waves, and restructuring reality in some way. This could lead to finding new ways to see or do things (Ne), effect people emotionally (Fe), experience the world (Se), or even create things (Te). The ends justify the means in this case.

Two totally different ways of yin and yang being, but both necessary for each other. I guess you could say an extrovert without introversion might think they can defy gravity by jumping hard enough. But an introvert might become so consumed with determining a stable nature to things that they forget that being alive is also about making an impact.
