Apparently, I'm really good at interviews. I also have an uncanny ability to talk my way out of nearly anything.

What's funny is that I really dislike public speaking, but when I am pressed into it, I always win the crowd over. Persuasive speaking, interviews, impromptu questioning: it all just falls into place when I start talking.

I tend to convince people I am some kind of genius, but then they find I really am not that much better in any one thing than anyone else, which can be very detrimental.

I'm wondering if this could be an INTP-related problem/skill, it certainly stems from my personality.

If we can successfully get what is in our heads out through our words, the self-contained logic or whatever does resonate with many folks. Everybody has some N and some T.

The downside is that when you make something clear, after the initial "Shizzam! By Golly!" Forest Gump reaction, you get a counterreaction kind of like "Oh, a master of the obvious at work." Yeah, right, that's why they didn't figure it out first.

Yeah, if we can translate what's in our heads into words.

In my general conversations with people it is hit-and-miss. Sometimes the words order themselves and make sense, but sometimes it is absolutely impossible for me to communicate.

I think it's the pressure that comes from public speaking that causes the sudden ability to speak well. If only I could recreate that all the time.

The negative of becoming "Captain Obvious" exists, but I just roll my eyes and think, "hindsight bias".

In fact, often after explaining something six or seven times, the person will say, "oh, you're right...but everybody knows that". Either they're really stupid, or I'm really bad at communicating. Or both.
