What's up my fellow INTPs. Hmm... I have frequently wondered what I would say to a group of my peers if indeed I ever met them. The comment I utilized to initiate this contact was quite possibly the most fitting and astute conversational inception I have excitedly typed in my 30 years of life, because apparently there are more people in existence (approximately 1% of the population to be relatively more precise) that share few aspects of my plight than I was originally aware of. Oddly enough, and I think commonly enough, hue, for an INTP who is maddeningly obsessed with theory (and for me, that occurred as soon as my soul animated my matter, which I am aware is not a debate won utilizing our prime skill: logic) to have graduated from the generalized "why am I so different" to an overall acceptance and progression (relative, sure) into one HELL-of-a ridiculously awesome creation (self-aggrandizement is totes FTW, as is sarcasm) that can absolutely destroy new concepts instantaneously and understand every useful angle from which to approach a new thought. So knowing that y'all have these same pursuits, is soothing. But no really, seriously, please.... try to keep up ;) Talk to y'all soon! Y'all. Ain't. Hmmm. lol.

*rabble rabble rabble* Since I don't appear to have roused enough of it, I brought a little extra with me ;)

I like that, craypot. It's like a rudimentary degradation of something original and tickles-you-insideish for the sake of time. Perhaps also synonymous with working smarter than harder, but oh how I abhor the traditional and rote.

PyroPyro (once I figure out how to add your messages in here, I will be a regular pro at this), I recently read a post of yours and enjoyed the similarity betwixt (<--- bringin DAT word back is the tits) our two names. As a product of my intuition working on your question I would like to answer it with a question: what's the interesting tale behind your username?

Oh I see, there's a thread that asks about "what's behind your username" and how we came up with them. In that case I will answer your routine implementation of forum-conditioned tasks and toss my response in with the lot: I love, love, LOVE language, symbols and words (amongst oh so many other things, like gems. Gems are truly outrageous, they are truly, truly, truly, outraaaaaageous, hahaha) and I find the most recent trends towards minimal vernacular and race-based language to be inane. So it's an inside joke, with myself, that stems from a possible elitism but an absolute resolve. Whoa... that's cray cray :P

Still interested in yours. My big "coming on"?... "coming out"? ... fck it, celebration on the INTP forum can't be all about me :D

It's about two of my favorite microorganisms: Pyrodinium bahamense (causes red tides) and Pyrococcus furiosus (tough microbe that loves superhigh temperatures).

I love it! Two very interesting looking creations, odd, different from the standard imagery one is used to interacting with (depending on profession). Perhaps fitting for an INTP to be associated with such rare organisms. Possibly also fitting that, to truly be appreciated, there must be attention paid to these "pyro" creations to enjoy their rarity, but that may be too far a psychological associative reach to have basis here. Do you also enjoy fire?

Unfortunately no. It just happened that the people who made the scientific names for these species associated them with fire. Pyrodinium has a very similar cousin called Alexandrium. However, AlexPyro or PyroAlex sounds too unwieldy for me.
