    What a disappointing day :(

Yes, yes, but I can get chili dogs here - I cannot get corn dogs here :)

    What a disappointing day :(

So, I wake up this morning, and retrieve the morning newspaper from the lawn outside (where else would a lawn be, duhh). I'm perusing through the ads, to see which grocery store I shall do my weekly shopping at, and I gasp in amazement, as I see.... CORN DOGS! They weren't on sale. The...

    Where did we go wrong?

Interesting viewpoint; especially since older generations are typically responsible for the upbringing of the next generation. For example, a group of older men playing some cards, complaining about "today's kids", talking about things were done "in their day", even though it was those men's...

    Where did we go wrong?

I like that title much better than the one I chose. 'Where did we go wrong?' implies that we were once right, and I have only a limited experience on life (32 years versus 250,000 years). So yah, I choose 'What the hell is wrong with us?' as the new name. :)

    Where did we go wrong?

Well no, I don't believe it was, either. But that wasn't really my point of what I wrote. I'm sure that the same problems that we have today, are similar in nature to the problems that earlier generations had to deal with. I guess what I should have responded with was that while there are...

    Where did we go wrong?

Sure, but people who invent or discover significant things are not the norm.

    Where did we go wrong?

A bit long, I know. I wrote this a few months back during a small bit of depression, and I just found it when recently cleaning out my documents folder.... **************************** Where did we go wrong? Somewhere along the way, we took a wrong turn. I don't know where; I don't...

    Sense of Belonging

I don't really feel like I belong, either. I am here just existing, maintaining my existence, and trying to fit in as best as I possibly can. I have plenty of friends, family, co-workers (although I'm pretty sure that I am the only INTP) to surround myself with, so I have become rather good at...

    Cocaine Bill and Morphine Sue

It was one of Freud's favorite drinks (well, minus the chilidog part - but c'mon, who doesn't love a chilidog) :)

    Cocaine Bill and Morphine Sue

Yup, I'm resurrecting old threads :) While not proud of it, I did try cocaine a few times, and while I enjoyed it, it's not something I'll ever do again. But I must say, cocaine gave me a taste of what it's like to be an extreme extrovert, and while it was rather enjoyable while it lasted, I'm...

    What really burns your biscuits!

I agree with you on the pot smoking. I'm educated, married, live in an upscale community, and I've never been convicted of anything. And yet, when people find out that I enjoy relaxing with weed sometimes, I'm instantly compared to the typical stoner that hangs out on street corners at night...

I prefer talking to my cats than other people

I've never tried talking to a tree, but I apologize to inanimate objects all the time when I bump into them. Mmmm, chili dogs. I'm at a coffee shop now with my espresso and fresh banana bread. Not quite as tasty as chili dogs, but definitely registers in the yummy part of my palate...

I prefer talking to my cats than other people

Howdy, I'm from Costa Rica (originally from the states, but moved here 6 years ago), and just found this awesome forum yesterday, and promptly joined. I believe the exact google search phrase that I was searching for when this forum turned up was "why dont i care about other people's...

    talking online

I agree with IndigoSensor. I talk just as easily in person as I do online; the only difference is that I generally don't prefer to talk to people face-to-face, unless they are on the same intellectual level as me.
