Thanks TA - I do like the functional analysis. But it doesn't address my fundamental question which is the (implied? asserted?) bimodality of the JP distinction, but you could argue any of the binary monikers I/E N/S T/F inherent in MBTI. Is there any empirical basis for bimodality? Could the...
Yes, the functions sound very different, and yet I manage to combine them in one package quite nicely. :)
I question the whole notion that people always have an innate tendency to follow one or the other path. I don't think the (online) MBTI tests are failing to discern whether I'm really a J...
Wading in where wiser men fear to tread...
I've only read the last few posts here. First of all, nothing about mines and environmental impact is certain - you're always dealing with large unknowns and uncertainties. Environmental Assessment is conceptually the correct tool to look at all pros...
I wouldn't sweat it. No one tests 100% x or y, it's always a gradient. I usually test 80% I, 70%N, 70%T, and 50/50 J/P. Try hanging out at INTJf, and see if that feels better for you.
I would say I feel dumber now (45) than I did when I was, say 25. I assume this is pretty normal as brain cells die off (and are butchered by accumulated recreational chemicals). The INTP mode of learning, i.e. total conceptual mastery, has been beneficial, as I still remember a lot of stuff...
Hi dc. I'm actually an INTp who acts like an INTj, so it's surprising it took me so long to check this place out. One thing I notice is that INTPf is way smaller than INTJf - that makes it a lot slower. Still haven't had time to explore the corners, just sticking to New Posts for now. Cheers.
Interesting, bizarre, in fact, but I have two Tolle books in my bedroom right now. One is TPON, which I haven't opened because it's in Spanish, and reading Spanish is PAINFUL. But I'm open to serendipity, so I'll tackle El Poder de Ahora before A New Earth. Thanks!
Hi dc, you'll probably recognise me. Just came over to the dark side myself. Isn't it cool that you can actually type INTJf here? Over there, if you type INTPf, it automatically changes it to "some other forum" *shivers*
By the way, fellow INTPfers, I assure you that dc is the real deal. Not...
I never suggested such a thing. I just suggested an area where I thought sensors should have an advantage. So I consider your comment unfair, but not inaccurate. I've never studied architecture. However, I have heard the complaint from practising architects that what you do in the real world...
Agreed. Form follows function. Dolphins evolved from ungulates (no shit, that freaks me out). As far as Mars goes, I figure unicellular life is what we might reasonably hope for.
