Jennifer as the Sharpshooter, you strive for balance, precision, and positive relationships in every aspect of your life. You remain solid and loyally committed, even in tough times, creating order and harmony in a chaotic world. Friendly, practical, and reliable, you are a solid and grounded individual.

Probably one of the deficiencies of the test is that it's all "external working style" as a DISC test, so it fails to address all elements of the psyche. The test catches my external working style pretty well; but it misses the highly intuitive internal side of myself, where usually I have a grasp of the answer almost immediately (which comes out in discussions where there's nothing at stake and you see into my head), whereas in real life I still like to confirm my intuition and thus go through the grounding process before committing resources and entering conflict.

I'm assuming this is related to the SC description (which is usually how I pan out in DISC, since I'm not very Directive at all).

I have a question. Is DISC basically an MBTI test for business men and women? I get the feeling it is.

No, not at all.

MBTI looks more at internal functional motivations (Sensing/Intuition; Thinking/Feeling).

DISC is more about external working style (Dominance, Influence, Steadiness, Conscientiousness -- they're all external working traits).

In that sense, though, if you think business people are mostly sensors concerned about getting tasks done in the external world, then you would be correct. ;)

Thank you Jennywocky that was helpful. What is your full three letters?

Perhaps I am an ISTP after all.

When in the work place, or even school, I desire a great deal of professionalism.

I never have really seen myself as detail oriented accept when making a conclusion/decision. Naturally I always follow through with the conclusion I made.

I am such a perfectionist that I got fired from a fast food restaurant because I was too concerned with how the sandwiches looked. LOL. I am a horrible observer and maybe that is why I think I am not detail oriented. When I was a kid my dad was constantly pointing out things that he saw to me that I never noticed. He has a very well developed Si (XSFJ).

I don't know if this is normal or not but on the charts, the biggest deviation from one stat to another was 1.22 (first chart and third representing C). I don't know if this is a high degree of change but I assume not. All three graphs look nearly identical. Looks like a check mark, I thought that kind of neat.

So far 3 people 3 different results.

I prefer 5w4 SX (with a huge 4 wing). Definitely INP; my core choices are still made rationally but I'm pretty sensitive to people and have a huge artistic side as well... typically I still make the "rational" choice but I'm empathetic enough that it can hurt when the two are in conflict.

When in the work place, or even school, I desire a great deal of professionalism.

Despite being very P in the tangibles, in terms of intangibles (like power structure and the expectations), I like to have them very clearly spelled out so I know how much "room I have to maneuver." It's like wanting to know where the cliff edge is, so I know exactly where not to step and also how much specific power I can depend on myself in the system -- it's all about risk assessment and management to me. I can be kind of anal about that aspect.

I never have really seen myself as detail oriented accept when making a conclusion/decision. Naturally I always follow through with the conclusion I made.

Yes, if I bother to make a decision after thinking through it, it's not one I typically change. Usually I prefer to stay open ended if I'm not committed to a decision.

Lol. Interesting. I'm a decent observer when I'm focusing, but I will miss details I'm NOT focused on. I just had to clean my old apartment this past weekend while moving and I did a damned good job, as much as any ISFJ, when scrubbing and removing the smallest knick, crumb, dirt speck, whatever I could. I do this because I am "professional" and won't want to screw over the next tenant and want people to see me as having done a thorough job rather than a half-assed one. I do take pride in my work.

But because I had never used a carpet steamer, I never even thought to steam the carpet. I did some handscrubbing, and then my landlord asked if I had happened to steam it, and I was just like, "God, why didn't that even cross my mind?"

Also, I don't clean a ton because it takes a lot of energy to be so thorough and I kind of hate it. But I'm too responsible to blow it off.

My daughter actually takes a LOOOONG time to finish her homework because she's a perfectionist and methodical. Kind of like your sammich example. She can spend too much time on the details that don't matter as much in a given situation.

I have a good deal of empathy as well. I often find myself trying to do what best for the group if its not terrible inconvenient or inefficient and I expect others to do the same.

I can identify with that but I probably try to push the limits instead of trying to know when to stop. Give me a limit and I will try to push it a little bit further. Much less so now that I am older though. Its much more rational now. And I really enjoy a good self challenge.

Yes, if I bother to make a decision after thinking through it, it's not one I typicatlly change. Usually I prefer to stay open ended if I'm not committed to a decision.

I wouldn't say I have an over-fondness to making decisions, I just like to make conclusions so I can produce an idea. Of course I am usually pretty thorough in making sure my ideas are accurate. I am constantly judging whether my ideas are valid or not.

Cleanings a bitch. I hate it. My boss once told me whenever I cleaned the bathrooms at work he said they looked immaculate. I'm stating to think my dad is an ISFJ because all he does is clean.

Is there anything more boring that vacuuming? I get pissed off just thinking about it.

I also take a crazy amount of time to do my homework. It is very important for me to get good grades.

In another life in different circumstances I believe I would be a rock band drummer. They always appear to be the strong silent type which I can greatly identify with. And... I always have a song going through my head and am constantly tapping my fingers, feet and hands while bobbing my head. At minimum I am usually running 3 different beats with my body simultaneously, producing one cohesive rhythm.

57% Innocent, 56% Orphan, 56% Warrior, 31% Caregiver, 72% Seeker, 35% Lover, 61% Destroyer, 72% Creator, 67% Magician, 48% Ruler, 53% Sage and 67% Fool!

Goal: Search for better life
Fear: Conformity
Response to Dragon/Problem: Flee from it
Task: Be true to deeper self
Gift: Autonomy, ambition
Addictions: Independence, perfection
The Seeker seeks to find a better future or found a more perfect world. Seekers often feel confined and are therefore vulnerable to the call of the unknown. Wandering begins with rather aimless experimentation. Often, this experimentation alienates those around the Seeker and the Seeker is forced to give up his/her conventional life to wander and grow. Eventually, the Seeker finds h/er Grail and can create a new life of convention.

Shadow Seeker:
The Shadow Seekers manifests itself as an obsessive need to be independent that keeps us isolated and alone. Other times, the urge to seek will take destructive forms such as chemical addiction, or even to dangerous situations that produce adrenalin. Seeking is often dangerous. In a materialistic, secular society, the mountain to be scaled is often professional or vocational. Initially, channeling the urge to ascend into various kinds of achievement is very positive and healthy. Therefore, modern Seekers often find themselves seeking a high through their work, working an ever increasing amount of time to satisfy her/his needs.

Wow this is spot on.

Think you are in the wrong thread buddy. To the question before it's not very accurate but it's probably close enough.
