He was a star witness in the Dover trial. I haven't watched this video, but he's written books (which I suppose doesn't mean much nowadays), but is a moderate in that he doesn't see why science and faith can't coexist.

^^^ To me that's what makes him so credible. He is religious but wont allow anything to cloud his scientific approach to seeking the truth about nature.
