but the thread asks what you hate about INTPs. If it were a listing of traits that you hate about only INTPs which no other people share, it would be an empty list... because there will always exist non-INTPs who carry the trait you hate anyway.
so, realistically speaking, every negative human trait should be included? Isn't this an ALL vs. Nothing issue?
-
I was talking in tendencies. (e.g.More INTP's are more negatively doing this than this..)

But then again..maybe intp's are prone to be vain.

I pretty much agree with Ashenstar and Chimera. Nothing about INTPs pisses me off or annoys me to any level that even comes near the level of annoyances I have experienced with XSXJs.
I'm friends with an ISTJ, and half the time we drive each other nuts. The fact that we still are friends is rather miraculous, and if we were any less mature we'd probably hate each other.
When I read this, I feel deja vu.

INTPs suck at making people feel loved and secure.

results of a stupid facebook test I took.

Thomas took the Which Pink Floyd Song are you? quiz and the result is Dogs
You are a cut-throat. The only person that matters is yourself. You could careless about anyone else as long as your doing fine. You wouldn't hesitate to destroy someone's life as long as you made something from it. You know how to read people but seldom use it to help anyone, other then yourself of course.

I have had results like this my entire life. Its starting to bother me. I have a personal rule, "Cruelty is in action alone, not words". People have always said Im mean. But Im not. I will never wrong a person in action. I may say something devestating to their ego. But i wont sleep with their GF.

I dont want to be ruthless anymore.

Basically, I'm just going to say what I hate about myself.

1) My laziness
2) My sense of inadequacy
3) My feelings of doubt
4) My attention-span
5) How I never get people
6) How much I suck at writing
7) How bad my memory is
8) My occasional rashness
9) Poor organization of time.
10) Messiness
11) My below-average intelligence (compared to other people)

4. My wasting of my potential.
5. My constant self-doubt.
6. My borderline-irrational fear of failure/the worst.

I think you just described an INTP.

*reads everything listed above...shrugs*

The Hesitation.

I stand there waiting for some clue to let me know it's the right time. The right place. The right move. Finally I just say screw it and leap. Up until that point I'm wondering. Always wondering.

- there aren't enough of them!
If the world's population consisted of a far greater percentage of INTPs, we (probably) wouldn't feel so inadequate (in some ways)... but, if that were the case, we'd likely experience some of the following problems:

  • many great ideas would never see the light of day.
  • nothing would EVER get done on time.
  • we wouldn't have enough 'F' types to take care of us.
(I already 'feel' some burning resistance to this comment)
  • being INTP would be boring (I like being different).
  • etc...
... I'm getting off topic but you get the idea.

a few more would be good though (I don't know any INTPs in person).

A lot of these qualities are personal not INTP. And the INTPs described sound underdeveloped or unhealthy.

INTPs only share the same area of problems, eg: socialising problems, emotional problems, tolerance problems, unsocial and apparently intellectual narcissism. (I could only see an INTP doing to people who they don't respect so they might actuallly have a problem respecting others.)

INTPs, even on this forum, have a couple of problems in one or two of these areas. Everything else is relatively normal. The magnitude of problems and number and type of problems is different for all. You aren't pissed off at INTPs, you are pissed off at one or maybe even a couple who have serious problems in these areas. Then you translate that even to INTPs who are pretty healthy but might have a few small flaws. Recognising between a problem and a small flaw is hard when you are in that state of mind...

The mind...
Ahhh! The friggin P can drive me nuts! It's a love/hate relationship. My best friends are INTPs and sometimes I love the P because it is good to keep options open and they teach me to be better at this. Sometimes I hate the P because I just want them to make a decision already! Since, that's the only thing that occassionally drives me crazy about INTPs though, I'm going to have to say that basically I really like INTPs.

I do not believe in simple. You sea salt. i see sodium chloride .

I annoy myself being like this.
That is not what I meant.

Basically INTPs I find tend to become bewildered by the possibilities. They are very often too quick to suggest that something cannot work a certain way or cannot be predicted because they are just too many variables. But they neglect the fact that variables work in hierarchy, the universe is not just complete unpredictable chaos. Because of this, at times a pattern can be seen in something extremely simple, just because there could be more to the pattern does not mean it should be written off as meaningless.
