Don't blame me if you don't understand it. I am not so sure that I do. Scientists are meant to be detached. I am not so sure I very successful at this. Most of my life I have been independent self-employed, but my work has been on the periphery of mainstream life which is detached. There is an equation of assertiveness with sadism.

Independence could be said to be equated with property ownership and money in the bank giving freedom of independent choice.

The passive-aggressive personality could be a person who wants to be independent, but forced by dependence on his job.

I am not so sure it is advised to pursue this line of enquiry.

My interest is that these personalities outlined are meant to be ingrained characteristics. I don't think they are. I think they are responses to circumstances, which may become ingrained after time.
