A bit of a long-winded title but whatever.
Before I list the personality types of my friends, I'm going to say that I think I have a lager than usual group of friends for an INTP, which is probably caused by me moving schools and having to form friendships there.
Anyways, my friends (that I have typed) consist of:
  • An INTP (Me)
  • An ENTP
  • An ISTP
  • An ISFP
  • An ESTP (Which I find quite odd that I'm friends with somebody of this type)
  • And an ISFJ (My best friend)
Sometimes I like to think about what (traits) possibly connects us all to together to be friends. Any ideas? Anyways, now I guess it's your turn to post your friends' types.

I don't really have any friends I see a lot of any more.
Someone I've been friends with since college and see maybe once or twice a year. She's probably an ENFP, but has never taken the test. Another friend joins us sometimes and has been in the group all along, not sure. Definitely ISXX.
Someone I've never met in person but met online and kept in touch with for about 4 years treated ENTJ.
The two guys I speak to in work most are (best guess) INFP And ISTJ/P.

Don't think I actually have any other friends. Was friends with an ESTP for a while before cutting contact for various reasons.

Current closest friend - almost certainly ENTJ. Would've assumed I'd find it hard to maintain a close friendship with someone of that type, though she is high maintenance sometimes, but *shrugs* there you go.

Current roommate - INTP is my best guess, he displays what I regard as strong Ti tendencies. We have very mutual living patterns - it's one of the only times I've felt relaxed living in the same place as another person.

Closest friend from student days - probably an INFJ.

I feel confident I'm likely an INFJ.

I have a lot of friends and contacts at the moment but I largely interact with them through work, meetups and weekend gatherings - the above are generally the only people I hang out with one to one. I used to have a lot of pen-friends, like people here and from other places, but I haven't maintained an online persona for a long time.

I really only hang out with one guy, an INTP. Used to hang out with an ENFJ, but there are too many conflicts between us - not verbal conflicts, because we don't really argue with each other. More like personality differences that make the relationship not work, at least on my end.

I've had all kinds of friends, but I tend not to hang onto them for a very long time as I have moved around a lot. Out of sight, out of mind kind of thing.

I would list current friends types as possible TeNi (childhood friend); FeSi (friend from early student days); TeNi (more recent study friend and his FeSi wife); 2 SeFi (artist type colleagues); possible NiTe (study friend); TeNi (study friend) and FeSi (study friend). 3 colleagues and supervisors that I am closer to are potentially NeFi; TeNi and TeNi. So it looks like I'm drawn to extroversion in friends (in the Jungian sense).

I have friends overseas that I don't see often, but I still consider them friends because they don't judge me for not staying in touch very much. Probably TiNe, TeNi and one that I cannot determine even vaguely....maybe some kind of Ne dom.

I should mention that I think I'm probably Ne/Ti. Or some sort of suppressed SeFi artist type in denial :phear: (I don't show that side of me here, but I was obsessed with learning the piano and wanting to be a composer as a child).

I don't think I have ever given much thought to personality differences other than the fact that I have been attracted to people who have qualities that I aspire to myself. So, many of my friends have been outgoing, adventurous and headstrong types. I like people who have a different outlook on life, and who are not afraid to think independently.

I have had quite a few religious friends, so I don't think it is so much personality type (in terms of function stack) as much as the fact that these individuals were respectful of my lack of religious attachment. The ones that did try to push me, I quickly rejected.

Likewise with friends who were obsessed with going out drinking all the time (most likely Se types). I did it for a year, but then got really tired of it. When I suggested that we do something different (something I was interested in, for a change) they just laughed and called me a bore. So I stopped going out with them, and then when they tried to make me feel guilty for it, I dropped them for good. I know that these so called friends wanted my company, but it always had to be on their limited terms. I cannot stand drunken/drugged behaviour - I had enough of that around me growing up, and I was in two relationships with alcoholics which has made me sensitised to any kind of aggression, bullying and the bullshit that usually comes with unconscious/inconsiderate people.

Most people who get to know me well enough to be called a friend are INTJ. I have more close friends who are INTJ than friends of all other types combined. Not intentionally of course, I guess I just manage to bond with them the most and later figure out their type. Otherwise, I have a few other NT friends and a couple ISTP... my best friend however, is ESFP.

I don't really have friends but my wife is ENFP or something gay like that
I like this one.

Years ago I used to have more friends than I could shake a stick at, but eventually realised I don't like people very much. THEREFORE:

Wife: ENTJ (pro confirmed)
BFF: INTP (pro confirmed)
BFFs missus who is quickly becoming a good friend: ENFJ (pro confirmed)
Friend #1: INTJ, almost certainly
Friend #2: ISTJ, probably
Friend #3: ISTP, probably
Friend #4: INFJ - certainly
Friend #5: ISFJ
Friend #6: ESTP

There are more, but I can't be arsed. I think I have an ok mix, Ne dominance aside. Actually, no - I do have a couple. Meh, cba.

I have only one friend, not too close, however, we get along just fine. An INFP, she is. Me=INTP. I do not get along with ISTJs. I feel my freedom compromised with them.:kodama1:
