Vim v. Emacs

This cancerous debate is famous among programmers, especially the older ones. So why not here? Surprisingly this debate is usually quite productive in nature.

I am currently using emacs. I use vim to quickly edit files.

I have heard people proudly claiming that they use windows notepad to practise coding during their majors.

On Windows: Notepad++.

On Macs: TextWrangler.

On Linux: I've used Vim and tried Emacs. Not so happy with either of them.
