Hmm... That's what I'm trying to think of... My Ne is getting very annoyed with my Ti because Ti keeps rejecting all Ne's ideas. Once one of them kills the other I'll tell you what the decision is. If it's math/science-related, Ti won; if it's quirky or witty, Ne did. If it's profound or expressive of a dimension beyond this tortured existence, my Fe/i banded together and killed them both with Se's bloody corpse (that's been that way for a while now... was I meant to feed it or something?).

Who are you rooting for? Te's taking bets.

NE! Because Fe can't order its ideas into a coherent phrase that won't look idiotic by the standards of my Ti. (I like this MBTI thing. Octuple personalities. ) So, because in homage to the website that eats more of my time than even daydreaming can manage, (and because I actually have one ) I choose the title of Badass Longcoat.

Liminal is a threshold state, therefore not being in either one state or another. Perhaps you're looking at a state similar to cognitive dissonance - holding two opposing thoughts at the same time - but in an existential form, such as being holy and damned simultaneously or stable and fluid?

Concerning liminal, because they are 'portals', this is the reason hex signs and protective sigils are carved or painted above doorways, among other traditions. In some cultures, this is done on wells also. During a wake, mirrors are covered by cloth and drapes are closed. Cemeteries were traditionally surrounded by iron fences because spirits cannot pass through iron as it is a pure solid earth metal.
