Aww, someone noticed me! (And I'm actually a girl, but I don't mind, because people in Real Life make that mistake too. :D)

And happy birthday Cog. Have some shrapnel. *Tosses metal shards in Cog's general direction*

Really? Cool: here the slang term for money is "yo-yos." (Euros, although generally "Euro" serves as singular and plural, as does "cent".)

Hmm... That's what I'm trying to think of... My Ne is getting very annoyed with my Ti because Ti keeps rejecting all Ne's ideas. Once one of them kills the other I'll tell you what the decision is. If it's math/science-related, Ti won; if it's quirky or witty, Ne did. If it's profound or expressive of a dimension beyond this tortured existence, my Fe/i banded together and killed them both with Se's bloody corpse (that's been that way for a while now... was I meant to feed it or something?).

Who are you rooting for? Te's taking bets. :D

I think they stuck Se in a freezer to make it really hard... they've broken it in two now, and they're advancing with the jagged, broken edges held out... *eats popcorn*

Luckily Te has a BFS on its person, so no-one's going to get hurt. Permanently. ...Except Se, but it can't hurt anymore. Too frozen.

@Cog: If "Air" was a play on "Eire", than that was really clever! If not, I don't think I get it.

...Okay. I'm running out of time before I have to give the modem back, so I shall go with...

NE! Because Fe can't order its ideas into a coherent phrase that won't look idiotic by the standards of my Ti. (I like this MBTI thing. Octuple personalities. :p) So, because in homage to the website that eats more of my time than even daydreaming can manage, (and because I actually have one :D) I choose the title of Badass Longcoat.

...They're still fighting. Do they think it's fun or something? Now Si is screaming for vengeance and bashing them over the heads. This is really quite entertaining. *sits back*

You know, Miss Lupina, for all those words - I don't believe you have written a single suggestion, no?

...Are you trying to fast-talk your way out of this? :p

I choose the title of Badass Longcoat.
...Unless someone else can come up with a cool title involving the word "liminal" or some variation thereof. I like that word quite a lot, but I can't think of a decent way to use it...

No, not quite... I wanted to get across the idea of existing as fully as possible on opposing sides of a border or a threshold; thus liminal something or something liminality...

Gah. This is troublesome.

Liminal is a threshold state, therefore not being in either one state or another. Perhaps you're looking at a state similar to cognitive dissonance - holding two opposing thoughts at the same time - but in an existential form, such as being holy and damned simultaneously or stable and fluid?

Something like that, kind of shifting between the two at (or even against) will. And according to my dictionary, it did mean "existing in two states at once"... maybe I'll go and check Mom's dictionary. It's older and more venerable and stuff...

And I don't even know what I'm saying. I know what I might draw for Illustration Friday this week, but I don't know what I'm saying. *Facedesk*

What would a good title be for me?

I know I am not there yet, just curious. I can't really think of anything good.

Think of it as standing in a doorway between two rooms. You are not truly in either room, you are in a 'limbo' state of existence, such as Purgatory in Christian mythological terms.
In spiritualist, shamanistic and paranormal terms, one is a 'walker between worlds'. Merlin.

Hmm... I like that quite a lot... You know what? LoR, make the title Badass Longcoat, like I said before, and I'll put something together on the "limen" subject for a signature. A properly intelligent signature.

Besides doorways being liminal states, so are objects like mirrors (Alice in Wonderland), televisions (Poltergeist) and computer monitors (Pulse). Anything which denotes a passageway into another state of being - corporeal or not.

You're brilliant, you know that? :) Thanks, EB: now I have a signature to compose and keep me mentally occupied all day long while I help my parents clean the house.

Nobody...

I can think of titles for other people...

And wells (Ring), I can't believe you missed that one.
I choose to believe you thought of it just after posting :D

In Japanese culture any crevice or water surface could also have the same significance… shadows too, I think.

oooh yes... shadows = liminal much so...

It's one of my favourite words also - I wanted to use it in a story title a while ago... but just couldn't......

I envy the context into which EB placed it. I want that Bard's imagination when he dies! :D

(No-one else has dibs on it yet do they?)

OKAY... so one Badass Longcoat coming up!

That's assuming that I plan on dying.
Seriously considering possessing another body, say... Cognisant's, perhaps?

Concerning liminal, because they are 'portals', this is the reason hex signs and protective sigils are carved or painted above doorways, among other traditions. In some cultures, this is done on wells also. During a wake, mirrors are covered by cloth and drapes are closed. Cemeteries were traditionally surrounded by iron fences because spirits cannot pass through iron as it is a pure solid earth metal.

He has a creative perspective on the functionality of genitalia; like a sort of ergonomic designer who treats his clients as a rapist treats hir (meh, his) victims, or the other way around.

I like his work in a "don't judge me" sort of way :D

p.s. ...and happy birthday :)
