-Genuine Confusion
-Desire for validation of personal bias
-Desire for dissection of personal bias
-Lack of understanding of system
-Excitement for new interesting subject
-other?
-Insecurities over all of the above

When I see topics here with people asking for help typing themselves it tends to make me think on the motivations behind asking such a question. Questioning the motivations has stopped me from making a topic asking for the same help myself in the near two years I've floated in and out of this place.

I've decided to make a topic asking you all to type me and my motivation is a desire to test my own reactions to the assessments given.

I think by testing my reactions I... well it is something to do.

Please, if you are so inclined, give me your feedback based on this topic alone, or on any posting history or interactions you remember having with me, assuming anyone remembers having any interactions with me.

Feel free to make your assessments as honest or dishonest as amuses you, but please include a spoiler that says whether you were dishonest or honest and why.

Or, alternatively, discuss the subject of underlying motivations behind this sort of topic.

I may or may not reply to all some or none of the replies, assuming this topic gets any at all.

Also, hello. I haven't posted in a while. Is everyone feeling well and happy?

Upload a video of your self talking in the camera. Duration between 5 and 10 minutes. Any subject is valid.

And then, I will be glad to (accurately) type you.

Purely based on this post of yours, I would argue you to be an INFJ. But to type/read someone purely based upon the text output one gives, is to merely guess. Thus it is required for you to upload a video of yourself. (In non-physical ques, the ques may have another origin of thought than it is presumed to be.)

The point of this is not so that I can have another person finally accurately type me.

It is so I can test my own reactions to the responses given.

My reaction to your reply was:

No. Hell No.

Hmm you indeed seem overly sensitive (HSP). That is an INFJ trait. (Other types may be HSP aswell, but at the INFJ this is utmost extreme compared to the other types). And the HSP i mean, is 'People HSP', which is a specific trait of the INFJ.

I am an INFJ aswell, now don't be scared! :D
You could also upload the video as unlisted and PM it to me, I won't distribute it or nothing. Just type you.

I would argue you to be an interpretive. And directive. xNxJ. Then based on other mere presumptions I can make out of your posts, I would say that you are subjective and have Fe-Ti instead of Te-Fi. Thus INFJ

My impression is NeFi, maybe an introverted one(FiNe/SiFe).

Confusion and validation most likely. There's also wanting to understand how others generally see you, and understanding someone else's thought/typing process.

So you would type my as INFP, likely?

I did leave off that I am most definitely an introvert in the OP. Not sure why.

Is my last sentence in the OP influencing the replies at all? It was an afterthought meant as both politeness and because I thought it would be amusing to ask you all how you feel. Though, of course I do actually hope everyone feels well, as not feeling well sucks.

Additional information, since own8age asked me, and I am going to include because I suppose it may be relevant. I am female, in my early thirties and from the USA. I have had time and experience in life to begin to understand, integrate and develop my functions.

I find the replies that I come off as Fi or Fe dominant rather than Ti interesting. It isn't the first time people have said that to me here, either.

To me I was thinking about xNFP as well. So yes, probably an xNFP or INFJ. If you would, upload a video of yourself as I've said before. I could judge you more thoroughly/accurate. But so far, you do seem as an interpretive. The main question is, Directive or Adaptive. Subjective or Objective. Due that to you think you rely a lot on Ti. I would still argue INFJ.
Hello INFJ! (I have also seen INFPs confuse themselves as INTP, so that could also still be an option. ENFP as well.)

Just upload a video :D

I'm going by the functions(Fi/Ne), because the functions are Jungian and universal.

ENFP and INFP reference MBTI characters, and my perspective isn't very compatible with MBTI.

No :P
That's my overall, long-term impression. And yeah, I understand that a person's development affects function manifestation; I just notice more overall indications of Ne and Fi rather than TiNe.

Go for it. I did a video, and it was great! People told me I was an ENTJ.

Then some other people told me I was an ENFJ.

... then this one guy told me that I was an INFJ.

Purely from this (since I don't know all the ins n outs of typography)... you're insecure yet wear a mask of being confident. You need to hear other opinions of yourself to find validation or to recreate certain aspects of how you feel you define yourself. Vanity? Hmmm... perhaps a little but more from an amusement PoV than any desire to hear anyone say something wonderful about your good self.

Folks generally want to know because they feel a twitch in a certain direction and generally because they're looking to create/ recreate themselves from a previous persona. There's a few things that could cause this but for the sake of this, I'll just say you're at a subtle crux and want some feedback... I think there's other things at play but I'm a tad drunk n could be wrong...

Could say there's an extrovert waiting to come out of an introvert but then we're looking at societal conditions which lead to becoming introverted. If that's the case, you've changed situations where you can be more 'free'.

... or completely disregard and I'll go back to my wine :P

It might be part stimulation, dialectics, support and the benefit of an objective and anonymous contributor. People feel validated when they're listened to, for some arcane reason. :D

Anything I reply to that will only serve to support your... hypothesis?

Bad science wrapped in a bad cold reading on your part.

But thank you for the reply nonetheless, it still serves my actual purposes in making this topic in the first place. Which was to get a better idea of where my dominant functions may actually lie by observing what my initial and secondary reactions to what people had to say to the topic were.

I am generally unconcerned with what people think of me, to a fault, the list I began this with was not my own feelings, they were some of the possible reasons I have wondered about when I question why others make a topic like this, though of course that very well may mean they are exactly the reasons I made the topic myself and I am just blinded by my own bias to seeing that i am no different than anyone else.

Maybe everyone is just really bored and all of our favorite things to do are talk about ourselves anyway, self centered creatures that we are.

Okay okay. I will think about and consider making a video.

I hesitate because I just am not a fan of the camera in the first place, plus I am paranoid about the possibility of people I know elsewhere on the web stumbling upon it somehow here. Which is silly and unlikely.

.. actually, it wouldn't. Like I said, I was pretty drunk and I am more intuitive than anything and that's what it spat out at me *shrugs*

I don't think there is any science in cold reading someone... well, maybe a little... but since I can't see your face to read micro expressions or body language, all I had to go by was language... and the sentence structures plus mistakenly? thinking your initial questions were relating to your mindset led me that way.

We really aren't that different to anyone else, which is part of the struggle.

Thanks for the input.

It really has begun to confuse me.

When I first began to learn of these things the explanation that I was running on Ti moment to moment made a lot of sense. I am highly analytical, logical and emotionless in comparison to most other women I know, as well as many men.

In recent history however I have seen what TiNe looks like actually manifested on others in real life in a way I hadn't had available before and it often makes me look like an emotional, biased, illogical wreck in comparison.

So, just starting to rework things out from scratch.

Yes, but were you eating waffles?

Because that may change the entire meaning of your interpretation and I'll need to reevaluate everything you said. ;)

Sounds basically correct to me. Stimulation + Narcissism = Forums. :D
