An unbreakable bond
With the nature of the self we infer that this material existence has the means for all experience. But when examined we cannot say that unconsciousness happens to be an eventual result of the same process. To stand out we have the same atoms yet they have different qualities prescribed in fluctuation. To exist in continuity there is separation in space and time. Precisely the pattern is nonphysical but in manifestation must become physical to attain the phenomenal. Uploading is to dismantle and reassemble manifestation. The construct of the mind represented is then ready for flow management. The operations lending mental states have new methods to be designed once fully understood. This is not to say that everything happens within computation. The mind that is small may be prone to uploading but once it is expanded the amount of physical substrate needed exceeds portability.
The resolution by which we say is necessary for total expansion nevertheless cannot be simulated and is therefore hardwired. To change must be actuated at the hardware level. Nano-structures retaining software must be reconfigurable. Being that software agents will be just as flexible as the hardware but not portable due to size I see no reason to acclimate this type of existence unless one wants to be limited in capacity.
Now when we look at the cognitive architecture of the cortex and see that chemicals stimulate certain circuits it is the cell that must be looked to when first attempting to expand consciousness. To redesign the brain it may be best to first know what is the best way to rewire current neurons and to maintain the best health genetically change them to elicit superior proteins. Eventually as parts of the cells are replaced other non protein techniques would be implemented like Myelin being replaced with graphene. Transportation networks of chemicals such as dopamine, serotonin, psilocybin and DMT could also be selective in controlled experimentation region to circuit.
The final outcome is not a new species but a transformed individual that has the ability to induce states of mind not know to us today and understand them.
