Do you love or hate it or could not care less?

I love it.

No surprise there really.

I hate the mouse.

Again, no surprise there.

I also hate the modern less violent versions, again....

Love it. Not as much as some old Looney Tunes but love it.....the older versions. The new versions where the cat and mouse get along doesn't count.

Melly, I'm surprised that you like Tom and Jerry. Isn't it disappointingly not violent enough? Now what was that cartoon that Bart and Lisa Simpson used to watch? I can't remember the name but that was some kind of violence!!

I used to love it as a kid, I still think it's good (a hell of a lot better than most shows now) but I just don't feel compelled to watch it anymore.

It taught me that violence is socially acceptable if your smaller than the other guy.

This however is a rare occurrence for me. Go figure.

I find Tom & Jerry torture to watch, but I could watch "Catch that Pigeon" but I found Dick Dastardly torture as well.

Outside your window.
Actually, one reason I loved it was because there was no dialogue. I think it takes a lot of skill to have a meaning fully expressed without words.

Same. This was mostly when I was young, 7-10 years old, though, I would feel utterly bored, maybe tortured, with several cartoons, Tom And Jerry was one of the rather pointless shows, and only ocassionally had some fun ideas in the process of getting back at the other animal.

Catch that pigeon was abit of a nightmare though, the evil crew was stupid as hell and it made me cringe abit.

I only enjoyed the show when I was a child. It would be very dull for my mind now.
