well, I am not infinite nor did i actually ever claim to be. It is just that after 3500 posts, I have pretty much said everything I think I can offer - at least once and maybe many, many times. i kind of get tired of being 'flamed' by Newbies over and over again - it seems like the same old crap over and over again with just different avatars attached. i will usually give a Newbie a chance - but then i just start ignoring their posts after a while...
I suppose if anyone would start asking me sincere questions or say something thought provoking as it once was, i would be more active. But then I believe that the majority of the forum members would just as soon see me inactive or even disappear - despite my contributions to the community over the past 21 months...

The reasons for using old machinery is threefold:

1. It gives you measly nuclear tolerant cockroaches a chance to actually defeat me, easy win is an unsatisfying win.

2. I prefer seeing my targets get blown to very gory pieces, and we all know the older the weapons the bigger the chunks.

3. When I win and you are dead you will feel most inadequate being beat by such simple tools.

I browse this forum regularly but because there are few new posts, I have little to respond to.

What is needed, I think, are more new posts created by those who use the forum. I usually only make a new post when I have a problem I need advice on, but a while back I made a funny one just for the fun of it.

Next thing I knew, there were 10 replies to it. People are browsing this forum quite a bit, but we're all silently lurking, instead of making the first move and posting.

Hm...I fear this repetition. Discussion has always been attracting[to me] because of the "growth" and the "process" of information production. It seems tiring to provide an idea you have already endlessly provided.

Posts like this are the solution to inactivity.

The sick thing is, you're enjoying it.

*leaving lor to collapse to the floor, Cog continues over to Minuend, attracting the attention of her automated turrets, so he flicks the still warm/wet blade away (distracting their sensors temporarily) and takes one long stride into Minuend's personal space, forcing her to crane her neck back to make eye contact*

Heat signatures don’t work well at close range, as far as your turrets can tell we’re one person with one IFF signature, so by all means switch them to aggressive mode, it’ll give us a little privacy.

*Cog raises his arm but Minuend is quicker, her hand reaches into his jacket first to snatch whatever alternate weapons concealed in there, only there isn’t any, in fact Cog’s wasn’t reaching for his jacket, instead he has reached around and is now holding Minuend tightly against him with one arm, pinning her arm between them. Reflexively Minuend grabs his throat with her other, but isn’t nearly strong enough to effectively choke him, meanwhile Cog’s other hand is holding her chin up as he leans forward, having shaken the initial panic Minuend goes for the combat knife concealed in the small of her back with a murderous intention. Then Cog kisses her and everything stops, the tip of the combat knife draws a drop of blood from his neck, poised to sink fatally deep without a moment’s notice, yet they remain posed in this embrace for a moment… then it’s over, and Cog leans back slowly so as to push the knife back without deepening its wound too much*

Y’know given the context, I can’t help but wonder how far is too far…
