Bruno the Bandit

A fantasy setting but with modern themes such as the net, vacuum cleaners, reality television shows, the media in all its depravity and so forth. It gets almost too corny(and punny...) at times, but later on the stories feature truly unexpected plot twists.
On occasion it also offers philosophical commentary, as well as parodies of the modern world in both once-off gags and story-lines.

Rogues of Clwyd-Rhan

While I only recently started reading, this one is quite enjoyable. I admit that the inherent allure lies in my childhood ingestion of Asterix comics, which along with other influences guided the creator. In summation, thus far I can describe it like this: A drunken band of outlaws being humorous in their own unique ways, with dragons, demons, kings and all that featured as well. While I did see Dijkhuis mention moving away from the set visual layout of Asterix in later iterations, the emulation of that spesific style of humour and character portrayal has been pulled off quite well, thus its presence here after I only discovered it today. (Ah, I also feel the need the need to mention the creator's study of literature, especially medieval literature.)
